Description: Balti House restaurants are modern “Eat As Much As You Like For a Fixed Price” Our restaurants are designed along clean, modern lines where diners can enjoy Indian cuisine in a stylish atmosphere at an affordable price. Starters, main courses, and desserts are included in the fixed price. Diners can choose from as many as 30 dinner dishes offering culinary delights from the Far East - you will be spoilt for choice. We are the first Indian Buffet bar restaurant in Salisbury and we proud to serve you.Buffets are effective for serving large numbers of people at once. For this reason, they are prevalent in institutional settings, such as business conventions or large parties. Another advantage of buffets compared to table service is that diners have a great deal of choice and the ability to closely inspect food before selecting it. Since a buffet involves diners serving themselves, it has in the past been considered an informal form of dining, less formal than table service. In recent years, however, buffet dinners are increasingly popular. “Good but....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Balti house is a nice place to eat but there is no veggie curry except a watery mix of vegetables. Pakoras and onion bhajis are very nice though but I do not understand why there is no better veggie option how hard would it be to make a veggie korma?! Please fix this cause its very good value for money :) thanks

“perfect as always”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

I go to The Balti House every time I want to have a good curry. I feel I can review this place now, after I went there several times already. Food is very delicious and what very important for me - very good quality too. Meat used in their currys is perfect, you don't feel like eating leftovers like in some take aways or restaurants. Staff friendly, always check back if the food is OK, price also affordable. Grat choice of desserts and fresh fruits.

“Great food and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Spent two nights working at the nearby rail depot and called in here to eat on both nights. The service was friendly and efficient, we arrived late and noticed the buffet was refreshed with fresh food even though the evening was drawing to a close - we were impressed by this. There was a great selection of fresh salad to accompany the main buffet, which was a real bonus and lots of fresh fruit in the dessert buffet, again a great bonus.
I can highly recommend the samosas, very tasty and nice and delicate, the vindaloo was more medium than hot but with excellent flavours. Dopiaza and balti both great and the rice fragrant and fresh.
All in all great value and good enough to visit two nights in succession!
Well done Balti House!

“Very poor quality.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

Food was barely warm. Chicken tikka not fresh or spicy, it had obviously been sat around for a while as it was tough. This is by far the worst curry I have ever had. Service okay but as it was a buffet they didn't have to do much.
