If you are into history, then there was an excellent display on the history of old sarum (salisbury) and surrounds. Many artefacts are in the museaum from that time too. If you are into fashion, there is a wonderful display of costumes of old. They are kept in semi darkness to protect the fabric, but if you can manage the stairs it is well worth seeing. Also, don't forget to got up all the stairs and into all the nooks and cranies up there or you will miss the wedgewood and cerramics displays up on the top level and the wonderfully preserved pharmacy and doctors surgery adjacent to the costumes.
