“Great B&B with a warm welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Visiting relatives in Salisbury and after quite a bit of searching reading reviews selected this B&B for a one night stay in September. Located on main road into Salisbury about a 20-25 minute walk to the city centre, easy to find. Parking was no problem and there is a bus stop just outside if you don't want to walk into town.

The accommodation is very nice, modern facilities, comfy bed, tv etc. Rooms are clean and the shower is much better than we're used to at home which is a plus point!

Kay and Steve looked after us very well providing maps/guidance for walks into town. Great selection of items available for breakfast, I thought the cooked breakfast was particularly good.

You will get some traffic noise but it quietens down overnight - it's not really a problem and many of the B&Bs in Salisbury are on main roads. There are quieter rooms available to the rear of the property.

Would definitely stay again when in town.

A moderate walk out of the centre of town up the Devizes Road, this place is excellent. Steve and Kay are friendly and welcoming hosts, helpful with any queries but not overbearing.
Room clean, simple and modern, comfortable bed, two chairs and a small table, bedside tables, chest of draws and a wardrobe with proper hangers! En-suite shower room was good. Every day we were topped up with what may have been homemade cookies (mmmmm!) and a couple of chocolates. Tea, coffee options in the room and we were given some fresh milk on arrival. Free wifi.
Breakfast was good. Plenty of cooked options along with cereals, fresh fruit, a compote of seasonal berries, yoghurts, jams and yes even Marmite! Both skimmed and semi-skimmed milk were available. Coffee was replenished no trouble at all. We stayed three nights.
Steve and Kay were happy to give recommendations for places to go. I'd recommend their guesthouse.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front might be a little noisy in the Summer with the morning traffic if you want to lea...

Thank you for your review, and thank you for recommending us. Yes, Kay makes the cookies and spends a lot of time stopping me from eating them.
Thanks again, Kay & Steve.

This B&B is highly recommendable. I had a beautiful and absolutely clean room with ensuite bathroom. At breakfast there was a great selection of food and most importantly Kay and Steve were very friendly and extremely helpful. If I ever visit Salisbury again, I will definitely stay at Taylor's.

We were only wanting a b&b for a nights stay in Salisbury and we were so lucky that we read the other reviews on Tripadvisor! I cannot recommend this b&b highly enough. Not only could it not br easier to find (literally straight on the A360 off the A303) The rooms are beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Every little detail has been thought of down to the cosy fluffy white towels which were lovely! The rooms are decorated to a very high standard and the bathrooms the same. Really comfortable beds too. The whole place is immaculate and has a very welcoming feel and Kay and Steve are lovely (Steve cooks a mean full English breakfast too)! This little gem really is a must if you want a night of comfort and a little piece of home away from home. Beautiful, well done Kay and Steve.

Everything you want from a B&B: we had an extremely clean and comfortable room, with a modern ensuite shower room. Unlike many B&Bs, the shower was powerful and reliable! The tea and coffee were generous and well thought out - I was especially impressed that there were delicious homemade smarties cookies in our room, which were hugely appreciated after a long drive. The breakfast selection was great - you could have full English, smoked salmon & scrambled egg or pancakes, as well as a selection of fruit, yoghurt and cereal. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying in the area.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the house are quieter but smaller.

Truly fantastic B&B which was renovated a few years back and the owners have kept it in pristine condition. Our room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated with plenty of space and a good size shower. A great breakfast selection and Steve & Kay were extremely friendly and informative hosts who helped make our stay very enjoyable. Could have stayed longer as there is plenty to see and do but will definitely return here if back in the area.

Room Tip: Any room here would be comfy

Looking forward to your return trip. Unfortunately there is not a review site for accommodation providers to comment on their guests. We would definitely give you 5 stars.

This B&B is a few minutes walk (about 20 min, or 5 min by bus which leaves just outside on the street) from the center of Salisbury. It's also just off a lovely country path which will lead you into town along the river Avon.
Everything is brand new and in top shape. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were excellent.
The best part is the exceeding friendliness and helplfulness of the owners, who did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. The breakfast (choice of English breakfast, pancakes, croissants, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc) was freshly made and delicious.
Really, we couldn't have been happier with our stay, and recommend it to anyone visiting Salisbury or the region.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Our city is not as big as yours but I am glad you liked it. The river walk does get a lot of comments and rightly so - it is a great walk.
We do take pride in our breakfast menu so thank you for your comments.
