“A stunning Victorian deco and modern breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

If you look for a B&B at walking distance of main points of interest in Salsbury, that's the one. Our bedroom was on the right at the top of the stairs, looking over the back garden. It was very comfortable and quiet. We slept like logs, both nights. Ensuite shower room was not massive but very clean and welcoming. For breakfast just express your taste and you will be served a classic English or scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on a toasted bagel; delicious. The owner is very attentive to details and always wanting to help and advise.
The cherry on top is the Victorian deco everywhere in the house. I have never seen so good taste in a style that I usually don't find attractive. Here, it works so well, it's amazing.
Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Having seen the 2 back rooms, they looked to reach the same high standard. The road is very quiet so...

We have stayed here before and had no hesitation in again taking advantage of the superb quality of accommodation, food and attention to detail offered by Richard. It feels a real pleasure to stay here as a guest and I feel a little apprehensive placing this testimonial as it should be kept a closely guarded secret but that's just me being selfish! This is no ordinary B&B so be wary of imitations that don't come close. Don't even think of staying anywhere else and putting up with poor quality, characterless accommodation, miserable staff and a dried up cooked breakfast - you won't know how much you're missing out on (the breakfast is unequalled) so make that booking NOW!

We have stayed at this delightful B&B on several occasions now and each time is a genuine treat. Every inch of the house oozes character and taste and the owners are charming and helpful. We parked on the private off street drive which is a short walk from the centre of Salisbury. The hosts have an encyclopedic knowledge of restaurants and pubs both close by and in the surrounding countryside. On our last stay we had The Cloisters Room. A vast bed provides a very comfortable sleeping environment, and a TV and DVD player (with a selection of films) are also provided. The real star of this room for me is the ensuite bathroom which contains surely the finest shower available to humanity! High speed WiFi is included too which completes an experience that leaves you wanting for nothing. Now we just have to think of another excuse to visit Salisbury again; aren't there some big stones in a field somewhere nearby?

Having read some wonderful reviews, Sedgehill House was just as we expected - and more. Welcoming, very comfortable, great breakfast - Richard has thought of everything! A well-organised and efficiently-run B&B. We shall certainly return when we next visit Salisbury.

I totally loved this b&b, one of the best I have ever stayed in.

It's located in a residential area, 5 minutes walking from the city center. Very quiet, with parking space.

The atmosphere is very welcoming, with fresh flowers, tasteful decor, and two magnificent, very well behaved dogs.

We had a large room with garden view, perfectly appointed, comfortable bed, luxury linen, new bathroom with window. An excellent cooked breakfast was served in the beautiful conservatory.

Richard truly is the perfect host.

This gorgeous house is located within walking distance from the city center, in a quiet residential road. On site parking available for B&B guests on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The house interior is an eclectic mix of Victorian and Georgian style, with lots of great pieces of antique furniture, pictures, statues, and chandeliers.
The rooms are spotlessly clean. My husband and I stayed in the Cloister room - the best pick ever! Super king-size bed, courtesy tray (water, cookies, milk, chocolate), fresh flowers on the nightstand, super spacious power shower, extra-large bathroom with bathtub - robes, candles, and toiletries were so much appreciated. The quality of linens and mattress was excellent. Free Wi-Fi in the room and common areas.
Breakfast was served in the stunning conservatory, facing the lovely garden. La mise en place was absolutely amazing... Delicious food cooked to perfection.
My only regret is that I spent just one night at Sedgehill House - I wish I would have planned my trip better!
Richard, thank you so much for being absolutely incredible during our stay and for going to the Tesco late at night to accommodate my "chocolate cravings".

Room Tip: All rooms are amazing.

We have stayed at Sedgehill House before and it is just a fantastic experience. The hosts are so friendly and cannot do enough for you to make your stay unforgettable. The house itself is warm and welcoming and all the en-suite rooms are just beautiful. We had breakfast in a stunning conservatory overlooking a magnificent garden. The whole ambience of the place far exceeds anywhere we have stayed before. If you are visiting Salisbury or the surrounding area, this place is a must. You will not be disappointed. Many thanks Sedgehill, we will be returning.
