This restaurant is somewhat off the regular main roads, but well worth the drive and seeking out. It's been three years I suspect since I last ate here, and when it was suggested by friends that we meet there for lunch it seemed an excellent idea. I was not disappointed. The absolutely perfect day of course added to the moment, it being hot and sunny, and the pub next door had arrivals coming in by horses and brake, which just added to the atmosphere of a restaurant in the forest.
It was surprisingly busy for a lunch time, and because all the food is individually prepared, service was a tad slow, but with good company and a nice view it was of little consequence. We were all delighted and impressed by the service and the food. Whether meat or fish, the food was beautifully presented and very tasty indeed.
It was a venue well worth a re-visit, and I shall make a point now of heading out there once more for an evening meal. Well worth the drive.
