“Good location for airport”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Stayed for one night on return from holiday. Chosen due to location over road from airport. Very hot rooms no air con and window only opens a bit. Clean and modern but bed and pillows were no good, you lay on the bed and you rolled into the middle of the bed, rubbish. £62 for one night for 5 so price was good. Get some air con and better beds and I will stay again.

perfect location opposite the airport. smooth check in and check out less than 2 minutes spent on both!!!

mattress could do with an update as ours made you roll to them middle but we still had a lovely nights sleep and was all set for our onward journey the next day. book early if using this hotel prior to a flight.

lovely little hotel, its not 5 star but then your not paying 5 star prices it really fits the bill if you are travelling from LBA

Room Tip: check in as close to 3pm as you can you get pick of the rooms

We arrived late at 12.30am a large family which took the 4 of us. A clean room with loads of towels, coffee and tea provided. We did not eat breakfast there, which can be ordered but only cold food. If you leave your car in there car park they charge you £5.00 overnight. Ticket machine in car park. Slight noise with other guests leaving, too warm in room needs ac. Good for 1 night stay not as good as the Premier Inn.

My partner and I stayed here for one night in June before our morning flight to Majorca. We paid £25 for the room which was certainly worth it. We'd booked into the airport's long stay car park so parked the car and walked across to the hotel (took less than 5 minutes). On arrival, the receptionist was very friendly and checked us in very smoothly. Our room was on the ground floor and was perfectly adequate for our quick stay; bright, clean, comfy double bed, fully working TV and powerful shower.

Best thing: walk across the road, walk for a few minutes and you reach the terminal! No paying out for taxis :)

Two downsides:

The minor being noisy neighbours above! For some reason the occupants above seemed to stomp up and down their room for MOST of the night :-/ Not sure how the hotel could resolve this though?! Sound proof floors/ceilings?!

The major downside to the hotel is lack of food. You can order micro-foods from the reception but we decided to walk into Yeadon where there are plenty of pubs and takeaways (the White Swan is highly recommended for food and the Wetherspoons for cheap drinks!). The walk took around 15 minutes and was on a well lit pavement the whole way.

All in all, a comfortable stay before our holiday - would stay again :)

Stayed here for one night before early flight. Reception staff polite and friendly both on check in and departure. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, and quiet. Easy walk to terminal, although there is a bus. Parked in airport car park, as it did not cost anymore to add an extra day.

My husband and I booked a room at LBA Travel Lodge 3 months prior to travel. We paid in full and money was taken from our bank account. We were arriving on an international flight in the early hours of the morning and needed a room for a few hours until an early flight that same morning. The website clearly states in FAQ that late arrivals are no problem at all, in fact check in can be anytime right through to check out time the following day.

Unfortunately the hotel staff got greedy as it was the Yorkshire Show Week, and hoped that we wouldn't turn up. They gave our room away for more money and schemed a plan between themselves, that if we did arrive they would taxi us over to Halifax Travel Lodge instead (an hour away)! It was all arranged. We were told that they overbook by 3 people, and apparently it is first come first served, so late flights always have a disadvantage!! We booked in good faith and we WERE LIVID to find that there was no room for us at 2.30 am. THEY DON'T DESERVE ANY BUSINESS. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel if you want to be certain of a room!

We were pleasantly surprised, both by the standard of the rooms and the hotel, which looks fairly new.
Nice size room, spotlessly clean and with a powerful shower. Only one towel provided, but the young receptionist provided one with a smile. As there are no eating facilities nearby, we were offered a microwave cheeseburger. Very good it was too. Would definitely stay again.
