“Saved by the Amarone!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014

Horrible wet and windy Tuesday evening and restaurant far from full so a bit chilly. We sat in one of the booths near the kitchen, which was warmer than in the open plan dining area - all those glass windows..Brilliant moist and juicy Fritta and crispy calamari did not disappoint, but we had to send the mains back - the Giardinera spinach balls on giant penne - for every dish served they pay to charity, so not only a veggie feel good gig at this time of the year, but seaonal charitable feelings too. The spinach was over-cooked the penne slightly too underdone and chewy. Service as usual wsa highly efficient and smilely and the £36 bottle of Amarone was outstanding, soft, velvety, gorgeous!

“free food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

we came when trinity first opened because we heard they were giving out free food due to training purposes. we did have to wait a long time and one of the pasta dishes was very runny but all in all it was a pleasant meal.

“Good place to eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

Ate here with my son for lunch and found the food to be quite tasty. The food service was pretty quick but the drinks service was rather slow. This was down to only one person manning the bar and covering eat in and take away customers. Apart from the slow drinks service I would probably visit again, as I found it quite a nice place to eat and very reasonably priced. For two lunch courses and a glass of wine I paid around £14. My sons meal was less than £10 with a soft drink and he loved the place.
Overall a decent place for a bite to eat at a good price

“Unexciting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Very much the "high street" interpretation of an Italian eating experience and set within the Trinity shopping centre. As part of a nationwide chain, only a standard product is offered, to an acceptable quality but not giving a particularly authentic experience. The service was pleasant but not particularly efficient. It is fine for "after work" but not for a special occasion. The "outdoor" seating is in the shopping mall which is fine is you wish to observe others engaged in retail therapy, but is not inviting.

“Bright and pleasant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

As with most Carluccios we have visited, this one has all the elements of a good dining experience covered, and with the January 2for1 deal in place,it also made for a pleasant financial surprise.
