“Cracking cocktails.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

Great place for a bite to eat in the city centre. The ambiance of the place is very good and the outdoor seating is really good in summer. The cocktails are very nice, although slightly over priced. The toilets are clean and well maintained. I have already recommended this place to people.

“Just needed sunshine for a perfect lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

Tried to book online but couldn't for a lunch so just turned up and could ony get a seat outside which was beautiful until it started raining!

The canopy doesnt quite cover the whole courtyeard area and so the rain soaked a couple of us making us move slightly and split onto 2 tables but the food was great and the decor stunning - loved the outside open kitchen!

Really tasty with lots of options with the hanging kebabs looking fab but booking for over 6 say for a lunch would have been nice as we may have stayed longer but the rain made us eat and up and move on - shame.

Will deffo be back.......in the sunshine

“"Stay on beer because the Pepsi was dearer"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

I went to The Botanist to meet some friends. I had to drive back. For those of us who have to drive we have two choices... 1, drink Pepsi. Or 2, kill someone in a drink driving incident. So, will the management of The Botanist write on here and explain why my Pepsi cost £4 when my non-driving friends beer only cost around £3.50? Putting profit before peoples safety is irresponsible, especially when this was over the Christmas festivities.

Now let me explain, the Pepsi in bars comes in a syrup and has to be watered down. You can actually see the drinks dispenser do this. A box of syrup concentrate costs £50 for 12 litres and is watered down to make 72 litres... Or 126 pints of Pepsi. That works out at each pint costing £0.39

I believe I am not the only person to have commented on the internet about The Botanist charging £4 for Pepsi. I look forward to the management response.

“Worth a lunch in leeds”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch here whilst Christmas shopping in Leeds. Called at 12 as it opened for lunch which was a good thing as very quickly it filled up. We each had a deli board where you choose the items from a list. The pork pie and piccalilli was fabulous. Will definitely call again to try the skewers, they looked great.
