“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

I attended this bar/restaurant with colleagues and business associates and it is fair to say everyone of us agreed that the welcome, atmosphere of the bar, efficiency and knowledge of the staff was as good as we have experienced. We even had the privilege of the chef coming out to request feedback on his superb food.
The feel of the place is bright and welcoming and the initiative of inviting local artists to display their works each month is original and a great example of promoting the local community.

The food was fantastic and beautifully presented, the range of drinks were first class and the staff were very attentive without being overbearing. This is a success story and if you are in Leeds do not miss out on the opportunity to pay a visit to Cuvee as it is head and shoulders above everyting else. Well done to the owners for bringing something new to the market that focuses on the customer. Thanks Graham W

“Oh what a pity”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

We have visited this bar many times since it opened .
It was always interesting and diffrent . BUT UNFORTUNALTLY Jonathan the center of this experiance has left .So we are left with another souless leeds wine bar. The service on our last vist was poor . No interaction or knollage . Staff no interest . Look out for the owners guest table if you go . They seam to get all the attention .
I dont think we will darken there door again . We would hate to interupt the owners private party .

“An exemplar of restuarants”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

We booked Cuvee for a very important business meeting. The owners worked with us to arrange a bespoke menu of what can only be described as the best food we have ever tasted.

From the initial welcome through to conclusion of the evening they were the perfect hosts.

Cuvee has a special atmosphere. It's location besides the canal affords the restaurant special character and this is reflected in the whole customer experience.

The staff were efficient and friendly. They clearly are very competent and both understand their roles and the importance of delivering that special customer experience.

The wines which accompanied each course of the meal were chosen to match the dish and it is this attention to detail and genuine wish to exceed the customers expectations that will ensure we continue to use Cuvee as our restaurant of choice.

A fantastic evening, experience together with a successful business outcome.

Thank you

“Not as good - shame”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We have visited Cuvee numerous times since it opened last year, including the launch event in February. We have recommended it to, and brought many friends with us. The bar has a great selection of well chosen wines and champagnes plus many different bottled beers - the buyer obviously has excellent taste. It has recently started doing 'small plates' of various international tapas type dishes. We've had these twice now and they have all been extremely good. The only downside is that the manager, Jonathan, is no longer around. He was always on hand, but never 'in your face' but quietly making sure people were enjoying their evening, he was extremely knowledgeable about the various wines helping us and our various guests on numerouse occasions to make an informed choice. This was very much lacking on our latest visit - not particularly welcoming and the staff seemed to do more standing about chatting than looking after the customers. We felt it had lost the 'special' feel where you were generally greeted more as a friend than 'just a customer'. We will give it another go but suspect this one will be off the list soon as it becomes just another city centre bar. Shame.

“Excellent for a quiet Saturday night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

Went here last night and really impressed. Excellent wine, and the tablet menu system made it easy to pick, especially if like me you love wine but always stick to the same thing for fear of ordering something awful. Staff helpful & friendly, location pretty (we sat outside watching the canal boats) and not at all pretentious like some other Leeds bars.
