“Two poor visits in six months...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

The first took place in the summer of last year, on a Friday night. We got no sleep at all while stag and hen parties ran up and down the corridor shouting and banging doors until 4.30am. We phoned Reception twice and asked to move room - they were fully booked and couldn't offer an alternative. They said they would send security to investigate - this made no noticeable difference. They did offer breakfast at no extra cost as compensation but we'd rather have had a good night's sleep!

The second visit took place in January this year during the snow. Our room was freezing and the heating was not on when we arrived. We had to keep it on all night and sleep in our clothes just to be warm enough to sleep. However, the Jurys breakfast is always good and the staff are always polite and helpful.

Stayed at Jury's Inn last night, the reception & bar area is smart & upmarket but the rooms are dated. Parking was an issue as it was a walk away from the hotel & it cost £3 (not the end of the world) but this only lasted till 8am so you had to be up early to replace the ticket or risk getting a fine, there goes the lie in! I was woken in the morning by the guy in the next room speaking on the phone, not loudly but I could hear him word for word! The walls must been paper thin.

The hotel was just average, by the time you've paid £6 parking £10 wifi, you might as well stay at the malmassion ?

Relatively easy to find and very close to all shops, bars etc. Nice foyer and friendly staff. Room was nice although there was what seemed like mould on one of the white duvet covers and on the bathroom ceiling. Tea/coffee facilities provided and TV. Quiet area, not as lively as other Jurys Inns maybe.

A group of 20 of us stayed at this hotel for a hen do. The staff were very welcoming & friendly at reception. The bar & reception area are very nicely decorated. The rooms are fine but the view out of the window was not very nice but it didn't really matter. Within walking distance to bars etc. only problem we had was one of the bar staff that was rather rude. Quite comfy beds. The breakfast was absolutely lovely but was extremely busy so struggled to get a tAble but the food made up for it!

Lovely stylish hotel. All the staff, from check in to the restaurant staff were so pleasant and very helpful. We had one evening meal and breakfast on both mornings and we can't fault it.Its a short walk to Leeds city centre, and the Royal Armouries is actually within sight of the hotel,There's a sainsbury local right outside and a few restaurants. We had a great view of the canal, its lovely at night when everythings lit up.We will use this hotel again.

Room Tip: Room's on eighth floor were quieter plus the view was fab.

We stayed there for 2 nights last week on schools half term and it was very comfortable indeed. Room was super as it had views over the wharf to the newly installed ferris wheel. It is a short walk over the bridge to the Corn Exchange and you are close to plenty of bars and restauants. However - I would actually opt for the less attractive view over the car park as there is a club over the small bridge and both nights, there were quite a people leaving between 3 & 4 in the morning. Parking is also a bit challenging. There is on street parking ( a little )- we arrived at 5pm so there were a few spaces. However you can park on the nearby car park for £3 per day if you can get on it. We had to make sure we got up and moved the car by 8am the next morning - a work day to ensure a space. Once you are on it you are ok !!!

Room Tip: Opt for the less attractive view over the car park as there is a club over the small bridge and both...

Arrived midday and given room on tenth floor.views stunning of city.really impressed with quality of room and facilities.breakfast great with lots of choice althou I did not have the cooked breakfast.lots of eastern europeans.one man had four cooked breakfasts and a woman got up from her seat eight times.they were squirrelling fruit, tea bags and bread into their pockets.
Evening meal was not impressive for me.dessert was lovely thou.couple of staff seemed to be playing touch games..very silly.
Reception staff so pleasant and friendly.looked up train times for us and kept our cases safe until our return later.
Restaurants on doorstep and sainsburys too.easy walks along canal and few minute walk to the royal armouries.five to ten minute walk to train station.
Will definately return and highly recommend this hotel.
