“Cosy atmosphere, nice food but distinctly cool service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Came with a friend on the 27th at 3pm so pretty quiet. My friend ordered a pasta dish which she said was excellent. However, it took some time to come, surprising given that there was hardly anyone there. The waiter we had was not friendly at all and had a very strange manner. Perhaps we were simply unlucky as the other staff seemed friendlier. They did forget to bring a cup of water I ordered as well. And please note tea only comes in tiny glass cups with no pots available. I do realise it's an Italian restaurant but some concession for being in England would be nice, especially when it's cold and raining outside!

“Christmas Booking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

Table of 15 booked for a christmas work do. Staff pleasant enough but started by putting us on separate tables?? Eventually after a bit of comotion the tables got pushed together, mindless planning really.. Food was pre-ordered before we arrived. Anti pasti really nice, however when it came to mains they were dry. Turkey came as an escalope style with a few courgettes. Steak was over cooked with a few potatoes next to it. A £50 service charge at the end of the bill was the icing on the cake really, couldve included it in the intial 'quote'. Wouldn't have hurt for a bit of cranberry chutney with the turkey or even a bottle of ketchup as it was hard work chewing. The atmosphere is nice, but i suggest asking what your main actually comes with as its misleading with fancy discriptions, you may just end up with abit of meat on your plate asking for sides which by the end of the meal will have cost you an extra £5.00 in service charges. Not that dece. GO TO JAMIES!!!! x
