Description: Serving temptingly fresh and flavoursome creations from world-famous chef Jamie Oliver, Jamie's Italian evokes the vibrancy and passion embedded in traditional Italian cooking and culture. A homely neighbourhood vibe is inspired by the rustic and relaxed ambience of the 'Italian table', with delicious flavours from the menu including truffled turkey Milanese, or a colourful seaside risotto.

Another lovely meal at Jamie's Italian Leeds last weekend. Staff Paul and Andy (shift change) were both helpful and attentive. Love trying out the seasonal specials.

“Way over rated and relying on a celeb name”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013 via mobile

Visited Jamie's as my friend wanted to try it, and I'm always up for Italian so was quite happy to go. Decor was nice, and my starter (tagliatelle bolognese) was quite tasty, but that is the only positives I can find. The negatives include over priced warm beer, cramped table layout, small portions, and a very disappointing main course. I went for the crab risotto, love both items normally, however the were so many things wrong with it. The rice was under cooked, the samphire was completely over cooked, that stuff has so much good flavour eaten raw, and they boiled it all into nothing. As far as the crab goes there was a very light dusting on top of the risotto, and hardly anything inside, most of the dish was made up of capers (not mentioned on the menu) I guess to try and maintain a seafood type flavour through the dish in the absence of enough crab. As the title suggests its seems this place is relying solely on the name, and was hugely disappointing as an offering from someone who is supposedly one of the nations top chefs.

“Really like it here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

I've been here a few times and always really liked it. My various dining companions have occasionally had a few disappointing dishes but everything I've had has hit the spot. Like a lot of Jamie's food (off of the telly innit), there is a lot of depth of flavour and subtlety. The staff are exceptionally knowledgable and come accross as very passionate but the service is sometimes a bit slow.

“Another wonderful meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Went to Jamie's in Leeds last night for tea. Table was booked for 5pm, we walked in and were warmly greeted and taken straight to our table. Specials explained to us and drinks ordered. I chose chicken liver taglietelle for starter which was just the right portion size, full of flavour and just so tasty. My partner chose the sausage pappardelle for starter which was equally as pleasant. For mains we chose the mixed grill which was cooked to perfection and the steak tagliata which was very tender, my only slight criticism was that the steak was slightly overcooked however very tasty. For pudding my partner got sour cherrybakewell which he described as simply beautiful. Finished off the meal with two very tasty cocktails. Overall the food and service was great. Can't wait for our next visit :)
