“Last review says "consistently excellent"...I will add "consistently superb" to the mix!”
I've been to 114 The Arch many times for evening meals and Sunday lunches, having lived in Farsley, Pudsey and now Rodley for several years now.
Without exception, the food has always been top notch and the service super friendly.
Given the quality of the food on offer, I would expect prices to be in the "medium to high" range, but this simply isn't the case.
3 courses for £15.95 (2 course options are also available for those less gready than me!) between 18:00 and 19:30 and only £3 more after 19:30 is verging on daylight robbery, given the quality of the food.
Supplements such as £11.95 for the mega delicious Surf and Turf (10oz fillet steak, grilled king prawns, garlic butter, buttered spinach, proper chips) are more than reasonable too.
This really is one of those restaurants where I can never make my mind up what I want to eat, because the menu is chock full of so many delicious options!
I'm sure I'm not alone in being faced with this dilemma every time I go there, too!
Wine prices are also very reasonable by restaurant prices standards e.g. a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc for £14.50 a bottle and my recommendation, "L'Aristocrate" Pinot Noir at £21.50 a bottle.
You don't find a Pinot Noir that cheap in many restaurants!
If you haven't been to this "hidden gem" of a restaurant yet, I have some advice for you.
You will not be disappointed :-)
