Lovely location, average food,, both more than inadequate to substitute the despicable rudeness of one of the staff, who I assume is the owner....
Her behaviour caused a customer to walk out, in tears...
Quite frankly, I was shocked, primalarily that she would behave in this unacceptable manner and secondly, that she is still able to operate, having read many negative feedback comments on other websites....

I would like to take this opportunity to state that we would never make anybody cry or upset any of our customers in any way. Customer Service is our number one priority and we regularly carry our refresher training to all staff.
I was disappointed to read this review as every staff member behaves in a professional and courteous manner; they are passionate about Philpotts and the values that we stand for. Values that remain strong after twenty eight years of trading. We pride ourselves on offering high quality ingredients complemented by a high level of customer service. Of course, on occasion things can and do go wrong but we act swiftly to remedy these and take the appropriate necessary action.
