Description: Walk through the big Victorian doors and prepare to be wooed by this popular Leeds local. Sumptuous period touches combined with contemporary flourishes and a diverse clientele create a friendly, alternative vibe that tempts people back again and again. As Tetley Brewery's original flagship pub, The Adelphi has impeccable cask ale credentials, with a great selection of three local and two guest ales that rotate weekly - and four individually decked out rooms in which to savour them. Plus we've always got something up our sleeve to keep you entertained.

“Sunday lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

I ordered lamb, it took 30 minutes for them to return to inform me that they had ran out, and another 30 minutes to bring me an alternative. When i went to the bar, one of the staff apologised and offered us a free drink. The meal was lovely, but not worth the wait of one hour.

This is a lovely old pub, that has stood the test of time, and been left untouched, such a pleasure from the over decorated pubs that are on trend these days.
A nice choice of beers, def a must to anyone visiting Leeds.

“Excellent Standard of food in unique location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Visited for a Sunday roast and it was lovely. Staff we very attentive and food was lovely. They also do an excellent set menu (or 2/3 courses for a set price) which is great value for money. Inside is warm and welcoming. Not pretentious at all and food is great.

“Fantastic place! Food, beer and whole place excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

The Adelphi is a great spot just outside Leeds city centre. The place has a huge range of beers, and cider and other refreshments so i'm told. Haven't really ever got beyond the beer myself. Sunday lunch is the real gem - especially in the cold winter months, as the place is always very warm.

“A really good 'old' pub with above average food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

The beers, the food is very good especially the bar snacks. The Adelphi is like a tardis when you go in with lots of different little bars. No annoying music just the burr of people talking to each other. The only down I would say is that it does get very hot in the summer.
