“Small but romantic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

We stayed here a few weeks ago we purchased an offer through Travel Zoo and we had a lovely time.

The food was very good to a high quality, but i must state we were a little disappointed that most things we wanted to order off the menu was not available and this was a let down.

We stayed in the Serenity Spa room and although the room is small it felt very cosy and with the hot tub right outside the room it made for a very romantic evening.

Wonderful place in the heart of the Bronte village, definitely a relaxation break.Service is amazing and someone is always available to help! I booked the retreat at no 21 and it lived up to everything I expected apart from the bed was not a true 4 poster but this did not detract from the look.Would stay again. The Silent Inn offers excellent food with a real open fire and is a must.

This is a fabulous place to stay - what a treat. We stayed in the Sanctury Spa room with hot tub and had the 'surprise Just Us party' which is candlelit turndown, champagne, strawberries and chocolate and a bouquet of flowers - utterly fabulous it was like being in a movie - all the treats you wish for but in reality very few hotels offer! The food was to die for - the steak Rare is a Must - we will be going back to dine very soon! Service was friendly and attentive. This is a very romantic place to stay and I would highly recommend treating a loved one to a stay herer!!!

This review is long overdue as we visited Ashmount in March 2012, but as thoughts come to what to do for my birthday this year I am very tempted to return to this hotel!
We stayed for one night in Suite Dreams at No.21, which is the room on the first floor in one of the cottages across the road from the main house. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated with grand features, the king size four poster; the copper roll top bath & baroque gold mirror. It managed to be opulent and cosy all at the same time! After a walk on the moors and too many cakes at afternoon tea, it was very easy to relax & feel at home in the room, which we did by promptly nodding off on the sofa!
The roll top bath was a perfect romantic treat, but we timed it poorly as we couldn't bathe and look out over the view as a) I am too small and b) it was pitch black! But we lit the candles and after took advantage of the very sumptuous gowns & slippers the hotel provides.
We had an amazing nights sleep on the gorgeous bed & were awoken with our 'picnic basket' breakfast brought to our room.
It was a perfect weekend, so many luxurious touches for an incredibly reasonable price.
We will definitely return.

Just returned from a weekend break having stayed at Serenity Spa room. Great welcome and everything was explained to us, how the sauna and hot tub worked.

First night indulged ourselves in the hot tub and sauna and enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant. We had the steak and duck main dishes which were really tasty. Thought the menu was a bit sparse and a tad too expensive but was so nice.

Utilised the honesty bar where you help yourself to drinks which was good with a great selection.

Following morning had breakfast but this let the place down. Service was slow and despite us contacting the hotel days beforehand and also contained in the room information, there was no gluten free bread or soya milk or spread. ( they did manage the bread the next morning ).

Hot tub is ace, the room was super bed was comfortable everything worked well. We had our own conservatory attached to the room and that led to the courtyard where hot tub and sauna are. Plenty of towels and you even get a robe ( comes in size small ) and slippers.

We had a great relaxing weekend and might well visit again.

We chose the room with the Sauna and whirlpool bath. Quite rare to find a country house such as this with these sorts of luxuries. Service with a smile and delightful surroundings. Price is high but if you can afford it - do it.

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay at the Ashmount country house. We stayed in the serenity spa room – complete with outdoor hot tub. The hotel focuses on the personal touch and it is ideal if you are fed up staying in nameless generic hotels. It is ideal for a special night away or a relaxing break where you can indulge in some well-earned peace and quiet. The rooms are of a traditional style which suited the house – immaculately clean and well kept. The staff were warm and friendly, yet professional throughout – from our initial email enquiry to the moment we checked out.

The hotel has an excellent restaurant, using locally sourced produce. We ate there on the first night of our stay. My husband had the steak – and believes it to be one of the best he has had and I had a goat’s cheese pasta which again was of a high quality. The breakfast was divine again produce was of a very high quality which we could not fault.

Our stay was over far too quickly but we plan to return to this first class establishment.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Ashmount manages to sympathetically combine modern day amenities (such as wi-fi, hot tub) with many of the original features that the Bronte Sisters would have much admired. Most of the furniture is antique and much of the interior of the house, including the beautiful stained glass windows, is original. It is this care & attention to detail - both modern and traditional - that leads us to believe Ashmount to be the most comfortable accommodation with the finest restaurant in Haworth. ... more   less
