“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

We booked this as a half way hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very good with all you need. We booked a meal in the restaurant which was super - you must book in advance as recommended. The only down side is they do not have an area where you can just sit and relax and enjoy an after dinner drink/coffee.

We came to Haworth to visit the Bronties Museum and were very happy with our accommodation choice. Delighted to be upgraded to a lovely room with a very comfy four poster bed. The room had a nice view and large bathroom. The owners were very pleasant and made us feel welcome. There is a cobbled street outside with many quaint shops to visit in this historic area. Lots of photo opportunities.

Room Tip: Ask for the Four Poster Bed room

Lovely hotel full of character. The rooms were great, four poster bed and really large bathroom with shower and a jacuzzi bath. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a great meal in the intimate dining room. Good food and not exorbitant prices. The location was really nice, quaint cobbled street with some interesting shops and nearby park. Unfortunately we had dreadful weather which stopped us exploring too much. Would love to go back.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Memories Room and it was very sumptuous with a large bathroom. It overlooked the co...

My wife and I booked a single night here with breakfast. We were allocated The Music Room. Initially we were impressed. However when the time came to retire a droning sound could clearly be heard. This cycled on and off approximately every 2 minutes throughout the night. My wife is hard of hearing and could still hear it without her aid. We attempted to track the source down but without success. We looked for staff but there were none. By this time it was after midnight.
Breakfast was fine and the waitress pleasant.
At checkout time we mentioned our dissatisfaction and discussed it with the waitress and chef who determined the noise was the boiler. The proprietors weren't on the premises as we understood it was their day off so we left the matter in the hands of the staff.
A couple of days later we received a lame email in which it was clear the issues had been completely misunderstood.
They were appraised of what had happened by return but we have not had the courtesy of a response.
Accommodation is primarily required as a place to sleep. We got none.
Additionally there was no WiFi available despite what Booking.com stated and what the staff believed.

Room Tip: Book with Rosebud Cottage Guest House.

Booked one night, wish we could have stayed longer. Gorgeous room (Tudor room) One smallish thing.... toilet smelled a little on arrival (urine) but we sprayed around and it was fine, it looked clean though & has to be mentioned im afraid. Maybe add an air freshener in the en suite? Bed was traditional, high four poster and the rest of the room was stunning as were the views across the moors. Wish we could have stayed to sample the breakfast but had to leave for an early appointment. Would defo stay here again! As lovely as the Ashmount country house but for a fraction of the price! Thank you, will be back!

This beautiful little hotel was a great find in Haworth. We booked a meal in their really quaint, intimate restaurant and the food was excellent. My husband loved the Real Ale too! The bar prices weren't exorbitant either. The décor in the bar/restaurant was very interesting with some great genuine vintage objects. Our bedroom was lovely, very tastefully furnished with a great olde worlde feel to it (the American's would love it!). The location is great with 3 or 4 pubs within a few hundred feet. We didn't get a chance to see anything worthy like the museums, as when we got there we found that there was a Beer and Steam Festival which involved taking the Railway Children train up and down the line all day to see live music and drink Real Ale!! There' something on in Haworth practically all the time, it's a jewel of a place.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Music Room which is on the Ground Floor, behind the Dining Room. There was no nois...

Pros
Room and furnishings were lovely and the bed very comfortable.
All the staff were friendly, helpful and informative.
Good breakfast selection.

Cons
Road with bus stop outside our windows - so the choice was noise or ventilation.
Hot breakfast on cold plates two mornings running.
Bedside lighting levels not very good for reading.
