Description: Cobbles & Clay is a cafe and pottery painting studio at the top of Haworth's Main Street in the heart of Yorkshire's Bronte Country. We invite locals and visitors of all ages and abilities to get creative by choosing from a selection of unglazed pottery shapes to paint and keep - or just enjoy looking at the hand-painted pieces on show while having something to eat and drink. We're open every day and all children and well behaved adults are welcome! Our extensive menu now features a range of 'no junk, no gunk' meals, freshly made cakes and snacks, speciality teas and coffees, additive free soft drinks, milk shakes, smoothies and organic wines and beers. We cater for a wide range of dietary requirements from a full English breakfast to a soya shake, with a variety of vegetarian, vegan, gluten and dairy free options. Takeaway food and drinks are also available. As well as buying your own pottery pieces (which we glaze in our kiln for you to pick up at a later date), you can peruse our range of locally made produce or commission a piece of individual artwork. We also sell vouchers on hand-painted pottery, which make the perfect gift for new mums and others. Daisy Days, our boutique gift and flower shop is just a short walk away and stocks labels such as Cath Kidston for your home, garden, kids and yourself! With free wifi, baby changing facilities and space for private parties and group bookings upstairs, our stunning cafe is the perfect setting for a family day out, celebration (including children's birthdays, hen dos and baby showers), corporate away day, breakfast, lunch or quick coffee. We also host themed evening events which are bookable in advance.

I haven't been to cobbles and clay for a while but the times that I have been I have enjoyed. It's very fun for the children and adults, I loved painting my plate, the food is also very nice :)

“Wonderful and friendly”

Even if you don't want to paint a plate this is the place for lunch and coffee in Haworth. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly when it comes to gluten free food. Really impressed!

“Not just your average cafe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

I've been here a few times now and every time I have been impressed so felt I had to write a review. They serve a wide variety of really tasty (and healthy) great value food and the service is always friendly - what more could you want in a café!

It's lovely inside too and has a great patio outside if the weather's nice.

Great for lunch, great for tea and cake, and great if you have little ones too because they can paint pottery and buy it to take home.

I highly recommend Cobbles & Clay and will visit again very soon!

“A little Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

This is a delightful little pit stop in Howarth. Don't be put off by the layout - it can get a little noisy - and we had to wait a while as a lot of people arrived at once and they were short of staff. I was so glad we stuck with it, the food was well worth waiting for. We were a party of four and two needed special diets...A delicious salad was made and the presentation made you want to dive into it. The home made cake was delicious and a lot of effort goes into presentation. A delightful place and I would definitely go again...

“Wonderful cake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

Just wanted to say what a fab experience we had today we called in late afternoon for tea and cakes.
The tea was great and the coffee & walnut cake was the best I have tasted so far the cream filling was really nice and creamy with plenty of flavour and the chocolate fudge cake if your a chocoholic well then your just in heaven.
All the staff were really friendly and the service was quick and courteous.
Couldn't help leaving with a smile on our faces the rainbow teapot made us really happy.
Well done see you soon
