“Afternoon Tea”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

A little disappointing for the money - sandwiches curled up and the tiniest sliver of quiche. This was our second visit to treat my elderly mum. First visit was better by far so maybe they were having an off day!!!

“Lovely last minute stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Stayed here for our mini-moon, was a last minute booking due to snow stopping our original plans - staff were very attentive, breakfast was lovely!
Didn't eat in the restaurant though - would have liked to as it has a great reputation and a rosette, but nothing on the menu took our fancy.
We got a well priced last minute deal - not sure if I would have liked to have paid full price - our power shower was a disappointment. But the bed was amazing!

“Good food in a romantic environment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Food was tasty and service impeccable. Wine was slightly warm. Lovely room and very cosy if your dining as a couple. There was only us and another couple in there however this could in some circumstances be awkward however it added to the dining experience.

“Tasty and good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

We ate here while we were staying at the hotel. The restaurant, although small, feels roomy and has a nice atmosphere. The dining room is beautiful and the waitress was very attentive and polite. Service was quick and the food was tasty. The menu was small but perfectly adequate. Was the tastiest meal I've had in a long time and I really couldn't fault anything about it. Would definitely eat here if we came back to the hotel.

“Lovely special family meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Was looking for somewhere that little bit special to take my parents out for a Ruby Wedding meal close to home in west Bradford. Plan B was decidedly shaky - off the top of my head nowhere in the vicinity was springing to mind - so was relieved to find a table somewhere with such good reviews. Apologies for not posting this review earlier - hopefully more people have discovered the secret on their own... Ashmount turned out to be exactly what I wanted/expected - interesting historic building, great views (despite being non-residents we were ushered to the window table) and very friendly and thoughtful personal service from the second the door was opened to admit us. I remember our waitress in the dining room was perhaps new to it but so polite and attentive that her inexperience (we all have to start somewhere) only added to the grand but intimate feeling of the place in which we were really relaxed. It was nice not to feel at all rushed at all and take our time enjoying some delicious dishes which were extensively seasonal/local and beautifully presented. All four of us had something different for each course, looked enviously at each others plates but then immensely enjoyed our own choices! Very good value indeed - will return, perhaps for a champagne afternoon tea...
