“A bit weird”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

This place was not quite what I was expecting after reading the reviews. There are probably 20 rooms here. It looks like a self renovation project with bedrooms shop tearoom functions and old cars. Around the complex are industrial sheds all at the end of a suburban road. Friendly enough and clean enough just different and a bit odd!

Booked 2 nights at model farm for our anniversary. Great b&b in a lovely location. Superb breakfast everything from polish smoked meats to traditional cooked breakfast. We had a little apartment within a barn conversion. Very clean and decorated in a kind of boho style. Great space-age shower. Overall very impressed with the whole set up. Would definitely recommend.

What a truly great find! I have never stayed in a place with more friendly people. The rooms are well equipped with internet access and TV, showers are great and the owners always happy to help.

They also have a great farmshop for great steaks and polish sausages.

Room Tip: If you like your own space, why not request one of the cottages.

Had a lovely room in a barn conversion. King size bed, comfy chairs, flat screen tv, tea & coffee making facilities. En suite bathroom with toiletries including toothbrushes. Breakfast was nice all options covered and served in conservatory overlooking lovely views. Staff helpful. Not many surrounding places to eat nearby but only stayed one night so not much of a problem. There are takeaways within a few minutes by car.

Booked an executive room via booking.com, we were allocated a room in converted barn room 14, although it was warm in the entrance corridor, the room itself was quite cold, the radiator did not get hotter when turned up. Expected a view of some countryside, but all we could see was barn roof and production area of some sort, complete with crates, fork lift truck etc. The room itself was ok, but could hear next doors voices, tv, but what was worse was loud plumbing noises, when taps turned on, toilet flushed etc. Bathroom did not have a blind on window, which made you a bit shy of having a shower. All night long there was generator type noises from outside, which made for disturbed sleep. Breakfast was OK, as people have said there are some dishes on your table, perhaps they are Polish dishes, not sure, but would have preferred some croissants, pastries etc instead. Juices ok, cereals ok, cooked breakfast acceptable. Conservatory where you have breakfast was quite busy, not much room for comfort, very steamed up windows, so could not see anything of the possible view again.
Suppose it is reasonable value for money, but did not enjoy the stay and glad to leave.
On a positive note the staff were friendly and worked very hard

Superb value and great place to stay. Having cooking facilities is great and always spotlessly clean. hosts are always really friendly and welcoming. I stop here a lot due to work and always find it the same great value

Very difficult to fault. Large characterful room in a converted barn. large en-suite with shower gel, shower cap etc. Breakfast choice was incredible - 4 star hotel standard. Quality of the breakfast was also very good. The only slight let down was the conservatory and furniture where the breakfast was served. Excellent value, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: We had a large room in the barn conversion
