We went with some trepidation having read some of the reviews here; we had reserved which is quite important as the place filled upvery quickly. We went on a Wednesday hoping to. Avail either the Early Bird menu or the 2for1 pizza/pasta offer (Wednesdays only). As it transpired, we found the Early Bird menu quite restricted and not really worth it. We ordered 2 pasta dishes (paperdelle with lamb, & penne salmon) and both eere excellant and good-sized. There were 3 of us and we had also ordered 2 pizzas (chicken calzone & Fiorentine with spinach and eggs). These were the authentic, thin crust pizzas, their bases withthe classical Italian smoky taste which comes from being cooked in a wood-fired oven...excellent! Less than £20 for 4 substantial and delicious dishes. The desserts were also very good, amaretto tart, tiramisu, & real Italian ice cream/ gelato. Couldn't fault tje food or the service. Nice, crisp, clean & contemporary decor, nice clientele, attentive staff, very quick service. About nthe only niggle was the very narrow parking slots, and those behind the restaurant aligned in a hopeless way, so that extracting our car from a full car park became a major ordeal, taking some of the shine off what was otherwise almost a perfect experience. 4 stars being awarded only for this reason...food on its own would have earned it 5!
