Pesto in a Pub is a stone's throw from where we live and I’m so pleased that it is. I’ve been a few times with hubby but the last time I was there was in January 2013 with our daughter at lunchtime, just before she returned to Australia. We were the only diners so obviously there was a lack of atmosphere but that did not detract from the (yet again) delicious meal. As we’re both vegetarians we normally find dining out a tad exasperating due to a lack of options but not so here – thank goodness! Just one very slight niggle (and it’s not only at Pesto that I find this happens) – they will insist on putting a ‘V’ indicating a meal on the menu which contains parmesan cheese is vegetarian. True parmesan cheese is definitely not vegetarian. By the way, I’ve recently found a supermarket that sells VEGETARIAN PARMESAN CHEESE – Tesco. I’m taking four packs over to Australia next month so that our daughter can once again enjoy grated ‘parmesan cheese’ on her Quorn spag bol – YEAH!!!
