“Great find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

A great find, popped in with a friend as we were looking for a decent place to go for a pint, and this had been recommended. A good range of ales and a nice mix of people.

“Excellent Bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

Totally straight-forward drinking experience for the real ale enthusiast. It does exactly what it says on the tin. A good selection of cask ales served in friendly, unpretentious surroundings, and at reasonable prices.

“Best bar in Bradford”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2013

As soon as you walk in the place you know it is a place where beer is the main passion. A couple of guys who love beer and want others to share their passion. It doesn't look much but that all adds to the feel. A wide selection of 'world beers' but not many on cask, however you can be sure that everyone is top quality beer, unlike other places where they have loads but they're all poor quality. The Sparrow serves quality well looked after beers.

Get a long to one of the themed nights to get the best experience. Whether it be the street food or a comedy night, you'll love it!

“Great range of drinks here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

On a recent holiday to the USA I discovered Goose Island IPA and found out The Sparrow sells this so visited at the earliest opportunity.

On a damp Monday evening we thought the bar would be quiet but every table upstairs was taken giving a good relaxing atmosphere from conversation with quiet background music.

The Goose Island is £3.20 a bottle but it's got a kick at 5.9% abv so is still good value for an imported craft beer. The other brews we tried were also spot on and it's great to see the place quite busy midweek.

“A cafe not a bar.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

This place looks more like a cafe from decades ago, very sparse interior the bar is just a plain thing stuck at the bottom of a box shaped room, just an old boring shop opened as a bar, terrible.
