“Would have been higher but waitress seemed rushed even though it wasn't busy.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

The meals were good although they arrived separately. The waitress seemed stressed but it was 4pm on a Tuesday! We had to ask for some salt as the container was empty. The bar man just left us waiting and we had to go back to ask again.

“Why not enough staff?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Found table for its number and consulted Sunday special menu, a meal plus a drink, went to bar at 4:50 pm queued 15 mins. to order there were 2 queues with one person serving both, some of the time the manager did help but kept going to the kitchen for 5 mins. at a time.
Only 1 of the 3 roasts was available, so it was our third choice.
Meals arrived on our table at 6:05 pm. The meals were average for this type of restaurant.
Place is very nice, more people appeared to be drinks only rather than eating.
Have used Weatherspoons in other places which did have staff so surprised at staffing level here. I just thought yesterday it was a one off but other reports here suggest to me it is normal.
TIP. As you enter look to see how many bar people and if a long queue to order, if so go somewhere else.

“Excellent local attraction full of histpry and surprises too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Nice place to come when you are fed up on a Sunday! But also somewhere to think about coming when you want a good cup of coffee or a nice meal.
The art galleries are stunning and loaded with Hockney pictures. The displays interesting and the shops have lots to look at and buy.
The cafe and restaurant are vibrant and you can be assured of good food.
