“Super Breakfast and attentive and polite staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2011

One night stay only but hotel ticks the boxes. Refit of reception bars and dining to a high standard. Ou side swimming pool not in use.
Rooms perfectly adequate.
Staff all first class and attentive.
Breakfast Continental and cooked both good value. Excellent croissants and pain au chocolat.
Couple of coach parties but hotel had few guests and as result was quiet even though bedroom doors banged with a force, Air con in rooms feeble and stuffy better to sleep with window open even with noise from adjacent motorway. Taxi into Bradford city centre £6. Bar drink prices very reasonable.
Would certainly stay again.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms face motorway.

I have initially booked 10 days for a business trip, my findings are below, along with a reason why I've checked out after 3 nights:
- the hotel, while in an unusual spot (industrial estate) and quite obscure external looks is surprisingly nice inside, with a lot of space and professionally looking rooms;
- rooms are fairly sizeable, slightly larger than the average in this class, with comfortable beds, ample lighting choice (incl. nice day-like-light lamps at the beds), air conditioning units with remote control, big work desks and flat screen TVs (freeview channels only though, but who uses TVs in hotels these days?);
- very big advantage - the toilet was separate from bathroom in my room which is not a standard in hotels;
- very big disadvantage - apart from a few hangers there is absolutely nothing to put your own stuff (clothes) into, not even a single drawer - so you need to keep your stuff in your bags;
- the hotel bar is quite nice, some choice of beers on tap and other drinks; there was a flat screen in the bar showing sky sports;
- the restaurant food was quite nice - I recommend 'Le Burger' - it is filling;
- breakfast seemed good but a bit expensive, especially if you go for a cooked breakfast;
- the wi-fi, while free, is terrible and simply unusable - there is nothing wrong with the wireless coverage, the problem lies with the service provider. It takes like a minute for google to open up, ping times are above 1500ms on the average. Forget about VPNs, downloading any files or skype. Basic html sites and small emails is the best you will be able to do. This is why I checked out - travelling on business, I need to be able to work, which required Internet usage. I was unable to do so.

Summary: I would recommend this location unless you need to use the wireless internet or you are staying for more than a couple of nights.

Two ladies stayed on a Saturday night when going to a family gathering in Bradford. For £35 (which included continental breakfast) it was good value and convenient as it is situated very near the motorway junction. (M62/M606) on an industrial estate. This means a lack of nearby restaurants so it is almost obligatory to eat in. There is a pleasant airy room and bar. The food was quite reasonably priced; the wine list not too extortionate and there were several "deals" as well as an a la carte menu. The salad option was disappointing with rubbery ham and pork pies on offer. We both had curry which was good with very good rice, but no extras such as chutney. The continental breakfast included the same tastless ham and very bland packets of cheese. For £2.75 extra you can have a full cooked breakfast which appeared to be cooked to order and looked good.
We had a twin room which was a reasonable size, clean and warm, with easy to use thermostat. The toiletries were meagre. A limited supply of teabags (1) meant a visit to reception who were friendly and helpful. We found a tray of dirty crockery in a cupboard and this was whisked away in minutes when reported.
Not an inspiring location but quiet at night and within 10 minutes drive of central Bradford. A taxi from the station was £7. A typical Campanile

Got a great rate for this Campanile motel on late rooms. £35 for a double room including continental breakfast with only a £2.50 supplement to upgrade to a full English breakfast.

The motel is situated in the middle of a trading estate so not the place if you are looking for pretty and picturesque! Batleys cash and carry just across the road. (see photos of window views)

However if you want a clean room with a comfortable bed with easy links to motorways (just off the M606) this is the place for you. Parking was easy and free. Check in quick and efficient. Lift was a bit scruffy, graffitti on the mirror, and I did start to think "oh dear" but the room was good for the price. Shampoo and soap provided. Clean good quality towels. Free wi fi - no problems accessing it. Room a bit cool when we arrived but the heating system was very good and it was warm in no time at all.

Very quiet night, didn't hear any other guests but we were near the end of a corridor. (room 135)

Breakfast served from 7 -10 on Sundays. Pleasant staff greeted us. Good selection of self serve items. Upgrade to a full English for only £2.50 each. My husband received a good plateful of food. 2 sausages, 2 bacon rashers, beans, mushrooms, scrambled egg and 2 hash browns + he could help himself to the continental buffet as well. Hash browns a bit crispy, looked like deep fried.

Thought it was extremely good value. Check out quick and efficient! No complaints at all. We will certainly use Campanile Bradford again when visiting family in Bradford.

Overall, a good value hotel and would use it again. It's recently had a £2.5 million refurbish.

The good : clean, good sized room and bathroom. Staff helpful. Bar good, resturant good. Sleep good, free internet access - very good.

The bad : Key cards didn't always work, several trips back to reception. The menu was limited, so OK for 1 or two nights, but not for much longer. Bit of noise in rooms from nearby M606. Excellent if your working on the nearby industrial estate, but no good if you're just visiting Bradford for leisure. Not sure about the corporate "green" decor in the room.

The ugly : nothing.

We stayed here for 3 nights in October and as I say it was not what I imagined at all. SO MUCH BETTER..... We booked thinking it was a motorway services type of accomodation - it's SO not! We paid £35 per room per night - (We've paid more per person per night without breakfast so this was a real bargain!) The location is geat, we used it to visit Malham, York, Sheffield, Skipton and south Yorkshire areas and it was fantatic for that. The rooms were huge and warm. Very clean and bright. The breakfast was a 'all you can eat' cold buffet or or £2.50 more you had a full English breakfast cooked to order! And you could still choose from the buffet if you could fit it in! A fantastic start to the day. We found the price online but booked direct with them having had a problem booking online. Staff were extreemly polite and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We didn't use the restuarant or bar but they looked lovely too. Very happy all round. We will definatley be going back and are now looking at other Campanile locations too.We will definatley be going back and are now looking at other Campanile locations too.

Stayed here for one night (Saturday) and cannot fault the place. £35 for a large room, comfy bed, clean shower room, separate toilet, tea/coffee facilities, flat screen tv and continental breakfast (with option to upgrade to full english for £2.50). As the hotel is on an industrial estate it was very quiet. It's right of the M606/M62 and was an ideal stop off point for us. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend over say a travelodge or premier inn where breakfast is extra.
