“A lovely treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

Once again we enjoyed a drink, and sandwich with garnish, followed by a coffee eclair- these are wonderful!
Very friendly and quick service. Atmosphere was buzzing and everyone seemed very happy.
Thank you to Stephane and all your members of staff who work so hard and try to please. (not always easy!) We'll be back.

“Awful Customer Service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

Went here with 11 of my friend for my birthday, we called in advance to book and decided we would go for English tea - Scones with tea and coffee - which was on the menu!! We asked if we were able to order finger sandwiches and for them to come out all together. We were told this would be okay and the manager seemed very accommodating and willing to follow through with our request. When we arrived we ordered what sandwiches we wanted, the manager asked if we still wanted finger sandwiches to which we said yes!!! we waited over an hour for our sandwiches to arrive which had no butter in them, they were thrown together and looked a mess and were cut into squares!! not your traditional high tea English sandwiches!!! all served on small plates, with out our scones and tea and coffee. When we questioned this, the manager was very rude and raised her voice to us. I could have picked up a better quality sandwiches from Tesco!! we were offered our scones around 10 minutes after our sandwiches were brought over to which we declined and asked for the bill. Again the manager was very rude and asked why we were not staying for the rest of our English tea... my mum told here that it was not what we were expecting and that waiting for sandwiches for over an hour was ridiculous. We raised the point that the manager should have never promised something they could not do... after the manager pointed out that they don't normally do high tea with finger sandwiches. This was the whole reason we called to book... the manager just saw an opportunity to make money but could not produce the goods!! the way she spoke to us was disgusting and I will not be returning here in the future.

Maison B, Manager at Maison Blanc, responded to this review, June 30, 2014
Thank you Natasha for taking the time to write your review.

Please accept my apologies for the poor experience you had with us. I spoke with my assistant manager who dealt with you and she would like to apologise, it was not in her intentions to be rude. We strive to provide outstanding customer service, as our previous reviews will show, and always try and accommodate our customers’ needs. She saw an opportunity to go the extra mile for you and your guests and she was, as much as I am, disappointed to hear we could not deliver that day.

We now have introduced, alongside our new menu, a Maison Blanc Afternoon Tea, as you can see on our pictures above, served with a selection of our mini patisseries, some loose leaf tea and a new selection of freshly made sandwiches that the team will be able to deliver in a timely manner.

Once again, please accept my most sincere apologies, I sincerely hope to see you again.

Kind regards,

Stephane.

“Always a pleasure!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

Having used Maison Blanc, Chichester regularly, I cannot fault it. Always very enjoyable, if overly busy the staff will always be apologetic and assure you they will be with you when they can - fair enough they're only humans, how would you feel!

The staff are all very friendly with familiar smiley faces who are always happy to help you!

I can't help but notice the unpleasant comments regarding it 'letting Raymond Blanc down' however I hear he doesn't own it anymore (and hasn't done for a while!!) so obviously said people aren't as clued up as they think. I mean no offence or disrespect, I just think it's been given an unfair deal.

Keep doing it guys, well done!
