This is a failrly new restaurant in Chichester and one we had not visited before. One reason for this is that its presence is not immediately obvious even though it is in one of the 4 main streets in the city. We were tempted in by the fixed price menu offer of £10 for 2 courses and £13.50 for 3. The immediate bar area is pleasant but the dining area is a bit stark with plain white walls and what is best described as bulkhead lighting with wooden furniture. There is also seating in an attached conservatory as well as in the garden. The staff were weloming and pleasant. The menu had a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts. We were served quickly and the dishes we chose were delicious. We also tried the home-made wine and lemonade, equally good. We will certainly be going there again and I have no hesitation in recommending it. It is worth mentioning that Amelie is about 500 metres from our renowned Chichester Festival Theatre.
