“Excellent meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Delightful restaurant in centre of Arundel. Lovely light and modern decor.
Visited last friday evening. Warm welcome from staff member Heather who helped
choose good wine. Excellent 3 course menu and spoiled for choice. Opted
for Beef Bourgignon and Fillet Steak. Absolutedly perfect. Just about space for
super pudding Honey and Lavender Pannacotta. Will definitely be back.
Ideal quiet place for short break.

“Good food at a good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012 via mobile

I came here with friends for dinner.
The dining room is split in two on either side of the reception which makes it feel a little disjointed but overall the decor is welcoming and classical.
The menu offers a decent range of courses that leave you wishing you could try a bit of everything. The food itself is typically gastropub - good quality and decent portions.
Overall a good choice. Would come back if I was back in Arundel but probably wouldn't come specifically for it.

“If you find fault with this place, your standards are too high!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

At the time of writing, Arundel House Brasserie is offering a 3 course meal, a room, and breakfast for £155 (if you stay in the suite, it's £125 if you'd like to stay in the other rooms). I thought this was a great offer, and Arundel is a delightful little town!

I was taking a bit of a gamble when I booked my stay; I am very particular with the style of hotel rooms and unfortunately the website's own pictures do not do this place justice, so I've uploaded some of my own pictures. I am really glad I went with my gut feeling with this one; the suite is beautiful and modern, and the bed was very comfortable. Views from outside aren't scenic, as the place is situated right in the village (don't worry, there was next-to-no noise and our sleep was undisturbed). There's also free wi-fi (not strong enough for video-streaming though, in our experience).

The brasserie is very small and stylish, and we loved all our food! We had bread and oil and goat's cheese salad for starters, pork belly and venison burger for mains (both delicious!), and blackcurrant crumble and creme brulee for dessert (again, delicious!). For breakfast we both had the sussex breakfast. All of the food is served in relatively small portions. We also found that the service from the two young hosts we had were very friendly and helpful.

I'd strongly recommend a stay here. We will certainly be visiting again!

“Comfortable and central, great base”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Staying here for a couple of nights for a break away. Rooms are modern, well decorated and cosy, without being overheated! Only quibble is there is only a shower no bath but morning porridge makes up for that. V quiet considering in town, great location.

“Nice meal and no reservation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

After a beautiful day’s walking around Arundel and the various highways and byways we headed into to the town for a bite to eat. We initially went to Parpadelle and failed to register the difference between the ground floor communal dining and the restaurant upstairs so beat a quiet retreat and, after already walking 18 miles didn’t wish to walk much further, we ended up at the Brasserie.

It was Saturday night and fortunate that no reservation was required. The meal, wine and the service were all good quality and the bill at the end not that bad. The decor was smart and modern with a hint of retro, primarily coming from the various glossy images of classic racing cars hung on the walls.
