“expensive but lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

A bit costly but a good day out. interesting collections and displays and the setting is goregeous. The town itself is lovely and a beautiful river flows through the middle. The first tie i visited there was a ghost tour taken in the basement of the old town hall, well worth seeking out!!

“Day trip to Arundel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Great day out, quite expensive and worth it and the guides are really helpful and charming. Weather was appalling so didn't see the gardens but will return

“Arundel Tresure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

Whilst visiting relations in Worthing we were taken to Arundel. I had never been here before and found the place to be a quaint but lively little town with plenty of character. We visited the very impossing castle and the entry fee was worth every penny. Very interesting and plenty of staff on hand to answer questions.
As the Duke of Norfolk owns vast areas of Sheffield it was nice to see his pad and mightily impressed I am M'Lud. The gardens are still beautiful even on the onset of autumn.

“Very impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Stunning! Very impressive big castle, looks fantastic from the outside and you can visit so many rooms inside. We recommend the gold plus ticket, just £2 more and you have access to about 15 more rooms. So beautiful! The garden is also very nice.

“Great afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

A castle is a castle - so an afternoon trip wasn't well anticipated. BUT I was very pleasantly surprised. Well worth paying the extra for the 'bedroom' bit - and overall a very interesting and fun couple of hours. Very friendly 'staff' who appeared to be very well informed. Very well recommended.
