We travelled as a family and Hanger Down was the perfect place to stay for two nights. Our room was very comfortable and easily big enough for the four of us. The en-suite was clean and shower was excellent. Alison made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was superb, it filled us up enough for the day. Would recommend this B&B as a perfect base for the surrounding area, brilliant.

We only stayed one night at Hanger Down but it is in a great location. Very rural but not far away from Arundel, pubs etc. Alison was friendly and helpful.
We stayed in The Duke Room. It was a lovely spacious room overlooking the garden and the surrounding countryside. It was tastefully decorated and very clean.

Breakfast was also pleasant with a good choice on offer.

. The only downside to me was the mattress and pillows in our room. Neither my husband or I found the very springy mattress comfortable and the down pillows just had no 'body' at all. But that could just be down to personal preferrence. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay in this lovely house. It is well worth a visit.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Hanger Down House, a beautiful b&b in a perfect location. We were made to feel so welcome, even before our visit Alison was on hand to recommend a local restaurant for the Friday night, this proved to be so good we returned again the following evening. Our room "The Duke" was immaculate & spacious with plenty of big fluffy towels in the en-suite & a great shower, fresh milk in the fridge on arrival & plenty of tea & coffee on hand. We were able to sit in the lovely garden on our return from a day out & soak up the beautiful countryside.
Breakfast is amazing! Plenty of hot, perfectly cooked food with delicious rolls & marmalade orange juice & a big pot of tea - what more could you ask for?
Hope to have the chance to stay here again soon!

A beautiful B&B with outstanding rooms of exceptional quality. Clean, fresh and extremely friendly. Alison is very attentive but never in your face or overbearing. She went out of her way to cater for a vegetarian coeliac, buying gluten free rolls and ensuring no cross contamination in the kitchen. The full English veggie and coeliac breakfasts were superb and generous. The B&B is perfectly placed to explore the surrounding area. Rooms are well equipped and have a full size fridge, a jug of milk and jars of tea, coffee and sugar so you never run dry. We stayed in the smallest room the Duchess and will be returning to sample one the larger rooms next time. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning property, great facilities and welcoming host. Alison cooks a great breakfast and is very helpful. The location is only a short walk from the restaurants and entertainment in Arundel and yet is also in a quiet rural location. My wife and I could not of hoped for more for our stay.

We needed a very short break and this was perfect for us. The house and grounds are lovely and the room beautiful and spotless with lovely views. However, what made the trip for us was Alison - a truly wonderful hostess. We had a breakfast to beat all breakfasts and, despite having house and family to run, she found time to chat with us, offer us cold drinks when we were in the garden and water my plants that I had bought on the way there. Can't wait to go again

Room Tip: Coach room better for people who have difficulty with stairs
