Been here a couple of times and was really impressed. Last time tried their thali which was really nice and surprisingly really cheap, it came to something like £8 a head. The service and quality were excellent. Will be visiting again.

“A totally delightful experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2012

Relatively new restaurant in Coventry in a location that has been many things in recent years, but this venture will hopefully go the distance. The interior is clean, visually interesting and welcoming. The staff are attentive, keen to please but also discreet and not overbearing - you will not be rushed or pressured. Our group was too big for the available seating so they gave us someone else's reserved tables and re-arranged around us. Free, chilled tap water appears without asking and there is no pressure to buy drinks on site. They don't sell alcohol anyway, so get your own from the Tesco metro round the corner, which makes the whole evening cost effective from the start. The food? Poppadums appear automatically and don't seem to feature on the bill. The menu is varied and the food is excellent with some great vegetarian options available. I had Mirch Masala with Mushroom Rice and a roti. Warned by the waiter that it was hot, I found that it was spiced just right, the heat building gradually until a slight sweat broke out on the very last mouthful, just perfect. What was amazing was that the heat didn't kill the flavours. Of the 10 covers at the table, all the dishes looked unique, and everyone was pleased with their choices. Nothing was too greasy or too hot, but they will make it hotter on request. The one amongst us who only eats English food was very pleased with her fish and chips, which also looked really nice as well. Definitely going again and would take someone here for a formal night out just as readily as a casual lunch.
