I must admit to being initially surprised at how good the food is at the Farmhouse; probably because, being a Coventry girl, I remember how it used to be years ago (when it was low-quality pub grub). It took me a while to trust that things had changed and give the Farmhouse another go, but I'm really glad I did.
We have been a few times in a couple of months now, and are greeted warmly each time. All the staff who've served us have been friendly and chatty, and when making reservations on the phone the person on the end of the line has always been happy to help.
I think the food is well priced and undoubtedly great value for money. Portions are generous - we always end up ordering more than we can eat, despite being big eaters!
The Indian food is some of, if not THE best I've had in Coventry. I used to live in Manchester where there is no end of choice for Indian and Pakistani food, so have eaten in some great restaurants, and the Farmhouse matches the food quality of any of those.
Even the desserts are delicious.
My only constructive criticism would be that it's not got much of an 'atmosphere'. Because of the design/layout of the building, it's not very 'private' or 'special' feeling, which may put me off booking for something like an anniversary. However, I can't say anything bad about food or service, so thanks, and see you again soon!
