My wife and I took our daughters to watch 'Driving Miss Daisy' recently at The Belgrade Theatre, and we had an excellent evenings entertainment. Firstly, there is very easy parking for the theatre at The Belgrade Plaza car park, which is a minutes walk from the theatre. There are a number of decent restaurants by the theatre main doors, and we all had a good Italian meal before watching the play. At the theatre reception we were warmly welcomed by Graham Aylott who is one of the theatre managers, and an excellent advocate for the venue. It is clear that a lot of money has been spent upgrading the facilities and decoration, and it is bright and modern looking. Drinks in the bar are good value/priced well, and not as expensive as at other similar venues. The actors in play were first class, and we all really enjoyed the play. The effects were superb, and the way the stage transormed from lounge, office, in a car driving along a road, or outside a church, were all seamless. Overall we had an excellent night at The Belgrade Theatre, and thanks to Graham Aylott and the team, we will return very soon for another visit.
