“Pleasantly surprised! Very good budget hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Well this one took me by surprise. I've been put off going to 'chain' budget hotels such as Premier Inns and Travel Lodges after the quite frankly horrendous Travel Lodge at Glastonbury (incidental note, three months later they still have not replied, what a dreadful company Travel Lodge are). But Premier Inns go to prove it can be done and done properly too.
It's location isn't brilliant but it is central. You are right by the motorway, right by a cinema, a restaurant, a Tesco, an Asda and petrol yet the only noise that will keep you awake at night are the idiots you may have to share the hotel with. I personally didn't appreciate the 4am numbskulls on the landing but that's not the hotels fault.

TV's are also locked down so there can be no excess volume. Interesting idea, and on reflection a good one.
My only criticism is the signage - it's not the easiest to find as the last sign sends you round to the right at the roundabout rather than straight over it. Blimey, a small criticism I know, but it must be said.
One final thing...Lesley on reception - trying her hand at a standup routine - good try...I appreciated it, I doubt some will. Keep up the good work Lesley but know when to press the pause button..!

Clean, well kempt, attention to detail. I will stay at a Premier Inn again. Well done all on that front.

Room Tip: Don't get a room by the lift - people you share hotels with can be such loud trolls!

Stayed here for 1 night as a couple after visiting the NEC. Little difficult to find but once you're there there's plenty of space to park.
Check-in was very quick, information given to us regarding breakfast (next door at Taybarn's) and about the Good Night's Sleep Policy. Paid £29 for the room which I consider and bargain for what we got!
Room was nice and spacious, very clean and also very quiet considering we were at the front of the hotel. The bathroom was adequate with a bath/shower and again, was very clean.
Within walking distance of the hotel are Nando's, Frankie and Benny's, Taybarn's and a cinema. We ate at Frankie and Benny's and then went to the cinema which was great as we were expecting to have to drive to eat out and be entertained.
Ate at Taybarn's in the mornign for breakfast which we weren't overly fussed with as it was noisy and aimed at families. The breakfast was all you can eat but think i'd head to Frankie and Benny's for breakfast next time!
Overall a good hotel in a good location! Will be returning again end of this year.

we stayed here last night so as to attend a friends wedding in the area. Check in was supposed to be 14:00 but the wedding started at 13:00, I telephoned the hotel in the morning and spoke to Lisa on reception who was really helpful, she changed our booking and arranged everything so that on our arrival at 12:00 our room was ready.
the room was large and clean overall an excellent experience especially considering the room cost £30

We got a great rate of £29 for a family room at this hotel when we booked in advance and decided to use it to stop off on our way North. The receptionists were very welcoming. The room was a good size and very clean. The beds very very comfortable and we had a great night sleep.

There was plenty of parking in front of the hotel and next door was a Taybarns restaurant that did great value buffet meals at £17.99 for a family of four to eat drinks were extra on top. Fantastic choice of food being cooked in front of us as we wnt along the buffet tables. We had booked breakfast and it was at the Taybarns the following morning and again a great selection of items to choose from.

We only stayed one night but noted that there was a cinema, large Tescos, Burger King and Nandos, Pizza Hut a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

Stayed here for three nights for business purposes - I usually use the much pricier Holiday Inn or Hilton across the road and tolerate their below average service and in-house food.
I was expecting budget service from this budget hotel but the staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. Everyone says hello as they pass you and the general atmosphere is good. One particular member of staff, Hannah was very helpful when myself and colleagues needed to urgently print an email which had been sent across and this was done for us without delay.
Room was spotless, cleaned thoroughly every day. Room basic but with everything you need (much like every other Premier Inn), very good air-con and a really great bed. Very quiet as it is on the edge of a retail park.
Breakfast is in the Taybarn restaurant just next door and is plentiful and varied. Dinner in the restaurant is quite noisy as it is aimed at families looking for a cheap place to eat out - but the food is buffet style and fine if you like that sort of thing and more than adequate as a place to eat if you are only there for one nigth. The bar is cheap considering it is attached to a hotel and again, everyone is helpful and friendly.
There is also a Nandos, Frankie and Benny's and a Pizza Hut within a two minute walk which is great if you are there a few nights and don't want to be eating at Taybarns every night.
Will definitely use this place again.

We stayed 2 nights for the Olympic Football. Hotel is clean, tidy, comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. With regards Taybarns next door, the breakfast was OK and there was a good choice. We also ate in the restaurant the evening we arrived, it was average but then again you get what you pay for (£17.99 for a family of four). Personally, I wouldn't go there again for dinner but would for breakfast.

We stayed for one night at this hotel after a day at Wellesbourne market near Stratford and a visit to Hatton Country World. We had considered eating next door at the Taybarns restaurant but when we looked in at teatime it was full of adults with screaming kids running wild around the place so opted to go to Nemo's at Stoney Cove in Stoney Stanton and had a fantastic meal in an unrivalled, and very picturesque location. (It is the national diving centre for the Midlands area and is a flooded quarry)as we used to eat there regularly when we lived nearby.
The room at the hotel was as most other premiers we have stayed at with fantastically comfortable beds so we all slept really well and breakfast at the Taybarns next morning was very good if a bit pricy at £8.25 per adult for buffet breakfast with full English, cereals, etc on offer and under 16's free.
