“Brilliant Again at Brindley Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Cafe Rouge always delights. My wife and I are frequent visitors and this particular establishment in the chain is the very best in our view.
The food is invariably tasteful and well prepared and presented. The service is always with a smile - even when they are busy.
I suppose we might be biased, but when we have not had a an "Off Experience" what do you expect?

“Good quality food in nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

This is a chain of similar restaurants that simulate a French Restaurant yet catering to a mass market with many tables. It was a quiet snowy evening on the canal side with many options to eat and near the theatre. We had a table for 16 and the waiter was more than helpful. The menu is limited but adequate with a selection of starters, dips and share options. Mains include duck, steak, salads and mussels and fish. The sweet selection was good and the chocolate grenache excellent. I had a perfectly cooked demi-poulet. Cooking is not particularly imaginative, caters for English tastes, but is very reliable and good as this is a chain with a standard menu. The house red wine was very good even more so as the manager gave us it on the house! £26 each for 3 courses, and a fixed price menu of £12 for two course, lunch is cheaper. Works well for business lunch, or a party.

“Pre show meal.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We had not booked a table at this restaurant and were relieved when we were offered a table on this cold, snowy night.

Friendly service and prices looked good. My husband and I both had 3 courses.

Starters good and my main course, a salad, was very tasty. My husbands steak, however, was disappointing and of poor quality.
Not bad desserts and service efficient
