We booked Opus for a pre Christmas night out and really enjoyed it. Our table was booked for 7.30pm and we arrived to find the restaurant quite full and a queue at reception but they were dealt with very quickly and had a table for two well away from the office party crowd.Big tables of men with a solitary female can be quite loud and these were no exception. However overall the restaurant was full, lively and had a good atmosphere. We had intended to have the Christmas menu but instead went a la carte; an excellent menu with a wide choice and some value for money wines. First class service, well cooked and presented food which was calmly paced and not rushed. My wife said her fillet steak was the best ever ! It's a bit pricey, my bill with two large Tanqueray G&T's (£18.50), a bottle of wine, three course meal for two followed by coffee was £150.Finally the lady 'Maitre d ' is brilliant .
