We booked a night at the Innkeeper's Lodge Sutton Coldfield because my son wanted to visit Drayton Manor nearby.
We paid £29.95 for bed and breakfast and a family room.
On arrival we were greeted at the clearly marked check in desk, booked in quickly and were directed to our room which was in a seperate building. We were also told that we could park in front of the other building. The room was clean and spacious, with a double bed and a large fold out sofa for my son. The shower room seemed new and the shower was great. One of my main bugbears with hotel rooms is the temperature...usually far too hot. But this one was a very pleasant temperature and I even had to turn the heater up a little in the evening.
We ate in the Toby carvery and had 3 lovely meals and then took a bottle of wine to our room.
After a good nights sleep we made our way to the restaurant for breakfast. This was a large array of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, croissants (my favourite), bread to toast, juices, teas and coffees and more. We filled ourselves up and posted our key in the box and left . No fuss with checking out.
Overall I think we spent about £70 which included, bed, breakfast, evening meal with wine for 3 people....bargain!!
