“FRESH FOOD LOVELY SERVERS!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Tried breakfast for the first time after becoming a fan of their coffee. The best thing about this place is freshness of ingredients and lovely service(and not intrusive) .Both egg benedict and shakshuka were cooked to perfection and presented nicely!
Price-wise,they are slightly on higher side, but one who wants the right product will definitely wont mind.
Waiting for the next time!!

“Avoid the chains - go here instead”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Good cofffee, fantastic cakes, excellent and unusual lunchtime sandwiches, friendly staff. This is slightly outside the city centre but worth hunting down. Good place for an hour's sitting down and chatting.

“good coffee”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

nice coffee, prob one of the best in brum but food lacked any flavour. nice decor, staff looked a bit bored, shame there is no outside area as it feels too dark with being underground.

“Fab breakfast and wonderful coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and really enjoyed the overall experience. Lovely decor, nice touch with help yourself water in bottles and laid back relaxed ambience. I don't think it is overpriced, just under £2 for porridge with homemade granola topping and about £4 for poached eggs on toast. Put it this way,we were staying at a nearby premier inn and breakfast there was going to cost £18 for two. This cost £12.50 for two and the quality was superb.

“My current favourite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Yorks Bakery Cafe is one of those places which does seem to live up to the hype (though in this Web 2.0 era you can find hype for anything and anywhere). Good coffee with the option of Aeropress which might be a novelty for those who unlike me do not possess this kind of coffee maker at home.
Sandwiches are good although expensive, so are the cakes, and the service is enthusiastic. Comfortable seating at the back if you are lucky enough to bag the leather armchairs, otherwise it's wooden chairs. Wifi of course as this is the kind of place where people come to work on That Novel.
No bike parking that I could find -- so where will the trendy clientele tie up their fixed-gear bikes as they come in for a flat white? Mind you Yorks has a flat frontage onto the street so putting bike racks in might be tricky.
Worth a visit or several. My current fave coffee house in Brum.
