“Unique little find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

I love this pub. It's laid back, great atmosphere both for lunchtime and in the evening. I love the creative style and the outdoor space. We ate at lunchtime the last time I visited. I can only describe the club sandwich as a monster, it was massive! However, it was also delicious and very good value. I would defiantly agree this place is a refreshing change to the chains.

“A refreshing change from the chains”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Always a nice atmosphere and a refreshing change from the chain run pubs in the City. Food is freshly prepared and good quality perhaps a little more pricey than others in the area but worth it, Real Ales on tap.
Nice gardens to rear and pleasant background music. About 5.50 in a taxi from City Centre, also on numerous bus routes and near the Metro for the Albion Ground.

“not just for tequila!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

the clifton has always been a favourite hangout for me and my friends to start the night in,it has a great vibe, especially outside, the staff are great, friendly and engaging. i took my parents for lunch on tuesday and was delighted to find the food was delicious! the menu has something for everyone and they had a wide range of specials too. i had the seabass which was cooked perfectly. i will be returning for dinner more often instead of just the rum and tequila!
i also have to mention the ping pong table and table football which is always fun on a quiet afternoon or a messy night out!
one of my top bars in brum, keep up the good work guys! :)

“Lovely pub, quick service, good value, nice food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

My friend and I visited on a Saturday lunchtime and enjoyed the cool, quiet ambience of the Lord Clifden as a nice break from the hot summer's day. Service was quick and friendly, prices were reasonable and the beer garden has a lovely retro feel. Our food came quickly and was very nice, generous portions. It's not in the nicest area of Brum but don't let that fool you, it's a quality pub.
