The nightstands and the lamps on these nightstands were not cleaned for at least a few years. There is a thick layer of dust on the headboard of the bed, and tons behind it - that was rather disgusting.

As someone said in an earlier review, most of the staff have an attitude, which is intolerable. The Internet access pricing is ridiculous, the least to say.

On a lighter note, the breakfast is fairly decent, if bland.

All that being said, the close proximity of the NEC and the airport, are the best features of this hotel.

Upon arrival I was upgraded to the executive suit, to my delight. The room was out of this world with everything you could possibly dream of at your disposal.

The hotel staff were generally helpful and friendly and the general hotel atmosphere was calm and relaxed.

The hotel is ideally located near the airport and the NEC and makes for a good stop over.

stayed here for 1 night, found it to be very clean but totally charmless. the staff have a dreadful attitude. dinner was very expensive and only average. twice staff barged in the room. there has to be nicer hotels in birmingham ?

We stayed at the hotel the night of the Killers gig. The room was clean and check in quick. The only problem was that the couple who booked in at the same time as us were allocated the same room as us. Rather embarressing! We walked into the room about 1 minute after they did!! They thought we were housekeeping! We all went to reception and it was sorted out but not the best start really. The staff didn't really apologise - just asked which couple was going to keep the room. The other couple kept the room and we ended up next door. However when we got back upstairs their key didn't work and they had to go back down again... I'm sure this doesn't happen often, but the lesson we learnt from this was no matter what time of day put the chain on as soon as you get to the room!!

We had booked B&B at £160 per night - a bit pricey for this hotel. I meant to check the prices again in case the price went down but forgot - checked the website before we left for the confirmation number and the rate for Bed, breakfast & evening meal was £160 - so we changed the booking. Well worth it. The restaurant opened earlier as there was a gig so we had plenty of time. The inclusive meal was from the set menu. Decent choice and it was really tasty. The service fairly quick and friendly.

The bar was busy when we got back and service seemed quite slow so we gave it a miss - mini bar prices are high as you would expect. You do get 2 small bottles of water and tea & coffee in the room. I asked for more tea bags & milks and they happily gave me some. In the morning we had room service breakfast which was great as the hotel was busy and we just had to pay the tray fee. Again worth it as you could enjoy a leisurely breakfast in front of the TV!!

Car parking is also included in the price & the walk to the Arena took about 3 minutes. We have booked to stay again later in the year for another gig. All in all a good stay.
