“Highly recommended hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

My son’s wedding took place on the 15th March 2014, and a total of nine family members stayed here for two nights. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable, the breakfasts good and the price very reasonable. All of which is what I would expect. But add to that the fact that on the Friday evening five of us plus a three year old didn’t arrive for dinner until after ten o’clock but still got good food and attentive service, and I’d have to say it’s the nicest hotel I’ve found in Birmingham so far – and I’ve tried quite a few in the last six or seven years. We’ll definitely be back.

Room Tip: Room 212 has a ventilation extractor just outside, which was a little noisy.

Stayed just the one night with my son as visiting the University. Lovely helpful staff. Nice rooms we had ones at the back of the hotel over looking the car park so very quiet. The rooms were very clean. Good breakfast. Good location for the University and easy to find from the M5

Stayed here on sat 15th - sun 16th, very helpfull on the reception desk. Room was quite basic but VERY nice & clean. Great nights sleep, we stayed in room 206 which was on the second floor ....considering this hotel is on the busy Hagley Road it was very quite!! Breakfast was lovely and staff were very helpful & polite. Paid £70 for the overnight stay and would definetly recommend to anyone.

Stayed a night here. Very friendly efficient and welcoming check-in. Nice refurbished room, beds very comfortable, great swish bathroom with large power shower. Free fast wifi in room. Did not eat in the hotel in evening even though set menu was tempting. We walked 5 mins down the road and had a great curry.

Breakfast the next day was very good. Orders taken and delivered by friendly staff, nothing to much trouble, food cooked to order. Plentiful safe car parking, hotel well positioned on Hagley road amongst many other similar hotels. This one been tastefully refurbished and staffed with efficient friendly staff. Nice place.

Although on a very busy road we found the room well insulated and we slept well. We had Room 205 on the top floor, facing the road. It was spacious, large comfortable bed, recently renovated shower room with spacious shower cubicle. The reception staff were excellent and dealt with our questions speedily. We had some problems with the wifi in the early evening probably because of lots of people on line - early the following morning it reached good speeds. My only adverse comment would be the breakfast. The buffet was an excellent selection of fruits and cereals. My request for 2 soft-boiled eggs proved too much of a challenge. We thought the bread used for the toast was not really up to the standard of the rest of the meal. These are, however, minor whinges and the restaurant service was very good although they were very busy.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor are spacious and well insulated from road noise.

Had my 65TH birthday party at the Eaton, as have organised other party's there. This hotel does not get the credit it deserves, the food is fabulous, they will mix menu's for you. The banqueting manager Robert Martin spends time to discuss yours requirements in a friendly but professional way. The restaurant serves wonderful meals and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. I will always look at the Eaton first , would not go anywhere else as service is never as good as we get from the owner Maria and her staff.

Great hotel for all types of conference or function. Have held Federation schools here for years, staff very friendly and approachable.
Rooms very good and clean, a bit of noise if in front rooms as face busy Hagley Road.
Restaurant provides very good food and there's lots of it. bar prices are a bit dear but acceptable.
Function facilities are very good and plenty of space for all types of function.

Room Tip: Rooms at back of hotel quieter.
