This is a good location at a good rate but don't expect any scenic views. My room seemed to overhang the hard shoulder of the M6 plus one of the many canals of Birmingham which, in no way, replicate Venice. That said, the double glazing shielded the noise, the decor was good clean and modern and the bed comfy. Staff were great, it has a decent bar and, best of all, for a budget rate you can get into the heart of Birmingham in minutes. I've tried to re-book a few times now and the place is always full! Testament enough.

i stayed here a little over a year ago, on a visit to Brum and the west mids, and i found it to be a very clean, modern and pleasant hotel. the continental breakfast included with the rate is very generous. the proximity to brum is great, especially if you don't feel the need to be right in the city centre. it's only 5 miles away and can save you a bundle over city centre hotels. i'm going back there in a few weeks time and will send an updated review.
