We booked this hotel as we left it late to book anywhere and all the city centre hotels were full
for our visit to the Birmingham Xmas market.

Luckily we did the perfect base to go into Birmingham the train station is next door and only 10 minutes to the city centre station outside the Bullring so no parking problems etc.

Very friendly staff, very clean & tidy, easy to get to from the M42 and best of all the breakfast freshly prepared as you wished was excellent.

Cant fault the hotel next time we do the Xmas market we will definitely stay there.

Room Tip: The train station is next door so if your a light sleeper maybe book the other side but the trains s...

We stayed here as it was handy for the NEC. Good basic price hotel which provided everything we needed for a stop over. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was quiet, warm and comfortable, hot shower and ok beds. The food in the restaurant was better than expected; very reasonable and well cooked. No problem parking and an easy route out to the motorway in the morning. Couldn't ask for more at the price.

We booked this hotel as it was suppose to be near the NEC! When booking the hotel we originally phoned to ask if it was close and were told it was. We ended up in a hotel where we had to pay £15 there and back to the NEC! When we asked where it was the man didn't help us as we asked first. Also taxis charged us more by £2.50 each time we had 1 because the hotel charged them which we were disgusted by! Hotel room was ok but I wouldn't recommend staying here as it is in the middle of nowhere and the service wasn't great for what we paid.

Attended event close to Birmingham airport, and this was the nearest cheap place with availability. The room was OK, good bed, quiet, so a good night sleep. There was a problem at checkin, some mystery with two different booking systems - after about 20 min of busily tapping away the clerk did produce a key for me and all was well.
Breakfast is pretty good, but the service is a bit suspect.

The choice to stay in this establishment was purely practical and suited my needs for business at the National Motorcycle Museum and NEC.

There was more than enough free parking at the time I arrived and check-in was prompt and efficient. Upon reaching my room the keycard failed to work and I had to return to the front desk and the operative returned with me as the 'lock required resetting', apparently. Never had that happen before and had visions of me being locked in my room for eternity!

Once finally in my room, I found myself in an average sized room, which was comfortable, but as I mentioned, the whole property feels quite tired and in need of a bit of tender loving care and attention.

The bed and duvet were of a good quality and the linens were nice and clean. I asked for a quiet room and this was given a nice peaceful room facing the back of the property (i.e. not on the main road) and this afforded me a good night's sleep.

The bathroom was nicely appointed and clean. Complimentary toiletries were available, if required.

Coffee and tea making facilities in the room are very welcome. Breakfast was not included in my booking, so I cannot make comment on this aspect of a stay. Free wifi, is what we have come to expect in hotels, and this was provided in the Quality Hotel and functioned without problem.

Not a bad stay at the Quality Hotel Birmingham South, but at GBP 75, I would have expected a slightly better quality of experience.

Would i recommend this hotel to family or friends? Only if there was not a better hotel on offer!

Room Tip: Need a quiet room? Ask for a room facing the rear car park.

This is our 3rd year at this hotel we stay twice a year when we attend the caravan and motorhome show in October and motorcycle live in November at the NEC. We keep staying here because the Staff are superb, friendly and helpful nothing is to much bother for them. The food is always fantastic the bar prices are the same as our local back home not inflated like most hotels are. Thanks again to all the Staff we will be back next year as usual ........

First time in Birmingham on business. Needed a hotel that was close to station, clean and has restaurant. This fitted the bill nicely. Staff were very friendly. The room was clean and had all the facilities I needed. Breakfast was cooked to order and was lovely and hot and served on warm plates which shows me that food is cooked with care and passion. The breakfast waiter was friendly and explained what was on offer which was a good range of cereals, fruit and drinks. This hotel provided excellent value for money and I will be staying again. Thank you Janice and crew.
