Good service, clean rooms, and they even print my boarding card! We had a good party at our room and the staff find it all good. In the morning they also let us sleep the whole morning. Koen, the Netherlands

I stayed in a travelodge in London and had no complaints, but staying at the central Birmingham travelodge, I was really disappointed. The room was supposed to be for three adults, but the single bed was clearly for a child. We over looked it, but when we went to bed it was so uncomfortable. There wasn't a phone in the room to complain and being on the 7th floor, we didn't really want to go all the way back down (in a lift that sounding like it would break at any moment) at midnight. The floor under the clothing rail was soaking wet. The bath had a huge dark stain in it. We didn't bother complaining, because we had had an exhausting day and just couldn't be bothered, so for all I know they would have happily accommodated us. Also, it would have been nice to sit and have breakfast, but there was only a take away breakfast, which we didn't bother with. And there was no real service, just one man that was in and out of the office. The good thing about it, was that it is in the middle of broad street and only minutes from the Rep theatre where we visited.

Stayed here for two days on a business trip to a conference at the ICC. Brilliant location, near to a few restaurants, friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good value for money. Sheets clean but slight old stains.

This tired hotel was desperate for refurbishment when we stayed here. It felt unclean and grubby.
It's located on the busy Broad St, so great if you're going for a night out there, planning on getting blind drunk and don't care where you crash. If you have slightly higher standards though, this isn't for you.

Great simple hotel in the centre of Birmingham, stayed here for an end of year night out with work colleagues. Very clean & tidy spacious rooms. Easily accessible hotel & rooms. Would recommend for sure if staying for business or pleasure in the centre of Birmingham. Staff very helpful at check in & check out too!

Our second floor room had crumbs and dirt on the units, hairs and stains in the bed, dirt and toothpaste in the sink and dirt and hairs in the bath. We complained to reception so they moved us to a room on the eighth floor. We still felt like the room hadn't been cleaned properly so we kept our time in the room to a minimum. When we came back from our night someone had obviously been in as the window was wide open (we had closed this previously) and the lights were on so we came back to a pretty cold room which was quite unpleasant. The bed was really uncomfortable, so much that we struggled to find a comfortable position to sleep. And the worst thing was that even though we were on the eighth floor the noise from the main road was unbearable, and this was on a Monday night so I couldn't imagine what a weekend would be like. We woke up earlier than we wanted to so that we could get out of this hotel as quickly as possible. I usually rate Travelodge but this was very disappointing.

Room Tip: Don't stay here
