We visited the Plough – on a lovely sunny Sunday for an early lunch, arrived at 12.15, and found all the outside dining area was taken. However, we managed to get a table by the door leading to the outside space, which was a good position.
It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food was great – we both had a vegetarian option (although we are not), and thoroughly enjoyed the excellently cooked, well presented meals. The menu also included Sunday roasts, which were available until 1.30pm, breakfast had also been available until 11.30am.
The staff polite and helpful. I would suggest at the weekend reserving a table if you want to dine at a particular time, several tables were booked with the time of the booking, which made them available ‘til that time, excellent idea!
The place I would describe as urban chic, quite eclectic - very interesting, and we liked it very much! Following this first visit I am planning on doing a girls weekday lunch very soon. Would give The Plough - top marks!
