My husband, 2 children (8 and 9) and i visited Cadburys World a couple of weeks ago and had a fab time!!!! From the minute you get there you get LOADS of chocolates :-) Its great fun and you get to see how the chocolate is made, packed, get to see parts of the factory, a tour with an explanation of how it all came about and lots more!!!! Its fun and informative and suitable for all ages. Nice cafe on-site which was good value and great food.

“Chocs Away!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Lovely day out for all - enough fun things for the kids 7 and 9. And interesting info for Nanny and us. Lots of freebie choccie bars given out at various times. Learnt quite a bit - and felt that Cadbury had really made an effort. There was a Christmas Panto (half hour) included in the price and was much better than I had anticipated - it really got us in the Christmas mood. Only down-side was the long wait for Santa - but think we had picked the wrong time to go - near the end of the day - but again it was inlcuded in the price and children got a lovely teddy when we were expecting more chocolate!!!! Might have been better if we had been given a time slot for that along with the exhibition time slot. The cafe was a bit hectic too - but we thought the day in general was good value for money and good to do on a winters day. Would recommend if you are in or near the area. Like a previous trip advisor - we only expected to be there for a couple of hours but were there for most of the day.

“Better than expected”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Great family day out with plenty to see and do. You enter on a timed ticket so book before you go. We had an 11:30 slot and the signs when we arrived said the only slots available for walk up customers was 14:30, so take heed. A good variety of attractions and a some access to the factory packaging plant was interesting. There was just about enough on the factory tour to keep my 23 month old grandson interested. Some free choccy bars are handed out and there is th chance to make your own concoction in the Essence room.

The site and surrounding area are interesting but as it was a wintery day so that will be for a day with better weather. But you can see from the architecture it was a "project" funded by the factory owners so well worth a further look. Would go back.

“Chocolate heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

Had a fantastic trip around Cadburys world, really amazing to find out the history of the company, although those parts were slightly boring for my youngest child. We were given numerous free chocolate bars and a melted chocolate pot, which was smaller than i'd imagined from other reviewers photos, but still yummy!!
We had lunch in the cafe and while everyone in our group had paninis i decided to go for the chicken pasta which i regretted after 1 mouthful and ate no more. Service in the cafe was quick despite it being so busy and because we had a large party and had booked to have lunch at a certain time they reserved us an area.
It was raining (heavily) which meant the play area was closed much to the disappointment of the children, but it looked really good.

Biggest let down was queuing for an hour and a half with a two and 9 year old to see santa and we were rushed through in 30 seconds flat and all they got was a teddy each. Really disappointing for both the children and myself.

“Great value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

For £50 for a family of 5,this was very good vale. The children were never bored even in the "history" bits.Loads of free chocolate, friendly staff and a variety of exhibits . When we got there, I thought maybe 2hours but 4 passed with no moaning from the kids and enough of interest for the parents.
Buy tickets online for a 5 percent discount. Don't turn up without checking as was sold out on the day we visited.
The parking was free too
For a wet November Sunday an enjoyable day
