“Very busy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

We visited here as the German Christmas Markets are here again.

The place as you can imagine was packed. It was standing room only and trying to move though the crowds was near impossible.

Most of the people there were rude and drunk and just barging into everyone and refusing to let people get past.

There were families there with their children, and they were concerned by the crowds and drunk people and their children looked scared because of it.

It's a shame really, as the christmas market looked nice. I've been a few years back and it wasn't as bad as tonight. Its just a shame it's packed in tight and they haven't thought about large crowd movements through it at all. They haven't left enough space for customers at each stall, and then space for people walking past in both directions.

I think if you'e going to go to the Christmas markets, go as soon as they open and leave before late afternoon and evening time.

“A passing through square”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

A square attached to Victoria Square that really offers nothing to stop and look at, you end up passing through it and paying no attention to it.

“Understated elegance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

This is a very popular place where locals hang out. Near to the hustle and bustle of the A38, but a lovely link between the city centre and Centenary Square

“A quick walk through town...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

was walking from one business meeting to another and had opportunity to walk through Birmingham city centre. Thoughts that the place was looking a lot cleaner and in particular Chamberlain Square was really smart.
I am sure that visitors to the city will have become increasingly impressed with what the city has been doing - well done, good for business, good for Birmingham

“Chamberlain Square ...fair to middling”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

Museum, Town Hall and prone statue on the steps are all first class to see. However, the unappealling backdrop of Centrlal library and shopping area bring this down and the fountain looks a bit unloved.
