Poor service in a beautiful building. I have eaten here many times over the years since sheldon hall has opened as a restaurant, and it is now by far the worst it ever has been. The carvery meals seem good on paper as you can load up on as much veg as you like BUT when the veg is stone cold and mushy you really don't want it, and when its served with a tiny slice of meat it is very unimpressive. It is such a shame the food and service are so poor because the building itself is beautiful and it's interesting to see some of the original features left over from its former life as a house.
