The food at Akbars is pretty good and priced reasonably but the drinks are very expensive. My biggest complaint is the service. We wanted to go on a Saturday night and phoned to make a reservation for 4 people at 7.30. We were told they don't take reservations for fewer than 10 people but they keep back tables so there wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived it was obviously very busy and we asked at reception what the wait time was. The girl (whilst chewing gum) told us it would be at least an hour and a half. I'm glad they are busy but we were misled when trying to book and spoken to poorly when we arrived. The chefs at Akbars are being badly let down by the front of house staff. We certainly won't be going again.
