It was very busy last Saturday night with only a few vacant tables on the top floor and the wife and I felt fortunate to get a seat. First impressions are of a clean, smart and modernly decorated restaurant. Reassuringly I thought it must be popular for good reason but as a result it was also loud, indeed a bit too loud for us. The staff were genuinely friendly & helpful although I suspect it was our waiter's first night and looking around while waiting for the menu we suspected the service may be suffer, and it did. Unfortunately our table wasn't cleared between courses and attracting attention for more mint yoghurt and drinks was a problem but we've experienced much worse.
As for the food; the sheek kebab was a bit too hot with no real depth of flavour and there were only three small onoin bhajis in the serving, both came with a very meagre side salad offering. We thought our main courses & sundries were very good. What I had I enjoyed but portions weren't quite adequate for us and we would have liked a bit more of it! Pity that we ran out time for the deserts.
Overall only three stars as it wasn't a very good night but don't be put off. I guess they may have been suprised with numbers and suspect that our experience isn't typical.
